Does anyone think that Pokerstars have deliberately timed the opening of Full Tilt to coincide with the US elections today.

WHilst the rest of us are all playing on Full Tilt the americans are sat cursing the US government for stopping them from playing there. Yanks I know are all going mad because they can't play on FTP and their money is stuck in limbo, and yet they've got to go and elect a president who wont let them change it.

Pokerstars is having a laugh at the US government here...

lol never though about that, but sure it's a strange coincidence- maybe pokerstars are fuming at u.s. officials, because it's only officials who kicked out stars (and the rest of operators) out of u.s.- so why not, i guess they got one back at them Big Smile

That could be a really good call but surely they would not be so cruel to the players in the US and risk alienating them even more, or maybe they are trying to sneak in under the cover of the US election so that noone over there notices!

I really don't think any poker site is having a laugh at the U.S. government or people. Don't you think that every site out ther is pissed because the U.S. poker players are their biggest money ticket. You'd better think about that! These sites wish they could get our business and if they could trade all the business from any other one country for the U.S. business they would. I'm not being sarcastic or a smart azz, but the U.S. will more then double a sites income so they're as pizzed as the people in the U.S. that want to play.

Thats my point.. Pokerstars in my view have timed this so that american citizens whilst voting on their next president will be sat thinking "the bastards... they stopped us playing poker."

The US players must be absolutely gutted today not being able to play on Full Tilt, and we all know who's to blame for that. The government... On the biggest day in the governments calendar they happen to take Full Tilt and re-open it minus the biggest captive audience a poker site can get.

Of course the US market is so huge. Thats why Pokerstars IMO have deliberately set today as the date to re-launch to the world. At a time when politics is on the forefront of the US residents minds they are banking that US players will lobby their senators and try and get this stupid law repealed.

The only way the UIGEA can ever be gor rid of, is by the US citizens coming out and saying "NO F'ING WAY.. WE DON'T AGREE WITH THIS LAW AND WE WANT IT REMOVING"

The US government is elected by the people and represents the people. If the people don't like it then its up to them to remove those in power and put people in who will follow their wishes.

There are hundreds of thousands of US poker players today very very upset at what has happened. Today is the day when you can change it... If you find someone willing to stand for president who will support bringing online poker back online. As it is the two candidates both support it being banned. You chose them two to run for president. You reap what you sow...

If you want onine poker you will have to find a president that will let you do it.. And I think Pokerstars are gently telling you that.. IF YOU WANT ONLINE POKER THEN WHEN IT COMES TO ELECTION TIME PICK SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T SUPPORT IT BEING BANNED

Very well explained and yes I took you initial statement in a total different manner. I'll tell you I voted today and not only for the president I voted to get some of these Judges out of the supreme courts and other crooked officials, but I must say I don't trust to many of them. Oh and to be honest I voted two weeks ago so I could take my time read all the people running and have been doing my homework on this for two years. I just hope someone can or cares enough to allow the U.S. players to get back on the felts.

A very nice reply though! Thumbs Up
