OK - I know there's not a lot of you active on the forums these days; given the state of online poker in your country.

Anyway- just wanted to say congrats on voting in Obama again. Not really massive obama fan myself - I think like in Australia, both of your major parties are full of s**t. But at any rate- I feel on this day - you have voted in the lesser of two evils by a long shot.

Also - tip for USA players - google bitcoins + Seals with Clubs ; and get on board Cool

lol bitcoins r a waste of time?

Why do you say that? I love the idea of bitcoins.

Anyway - I mention that because SWC is a bitcoin operated online poker room which means USA players can play without fear of reprisal. Any other site they play on could ulitimately be shutdown at any moment by the USA Gov, but not this one. Fast cashouts too - they're currently processing all cashouts to bitcoin wallets within 1-8 and you can cashout from wallet-bank pretty fast too.

I don't play there because the traffic is too low - but I think it's a fantastic option for USA players looking for a bit of security. Regular freerolls too apparently, with hardly any entrants.

ok so what I would purchase these bit coins, or create them myself?

Hmm, I wouldn't bother creating them yourself - unless you have access to powerful processing power (beyond a desktop PC I mean).

You sign up to an eWallet (bitcoins) and then you use one of the various online bitcoin exchange sites to convert your national currency into bitcoins (that are stored in your eWallet). It's basically the same process as using netTeller or MoneyBookers.

sounds like something created for money laundering Evil

Sort of - although I don't think it would really be that good for laundering, since it's not a traceable form of legit income anyhow - like if you were to "launder" $100K by turning it into bitcoin and putting it through a poker site and out again - and then claiming you 'won' the $100K. There's really no proper way to evidence this. In fact - by laundering your money with bitcoins it would probably just make it look even shadier than it already does.. Wouldn't really help you trying to prove to your national tax department that it was legitimate income.

In saying that - certianly bitcoins DO lend themselves to crime. Check out The Silk Road if you've never heard of it - download TOR (A browser / Browser add-on) - and then access TSR - it's amazing - it's like ebay - but it's full of drugs, weapons, etc.

The Silk Road is the most incredible thing ever. You need to google the url - it's easy to find, plus a few people stick it in their YouTube comments (that incidentally instruct you on how to access TSR).

But basically just download TOR (Get the whole browser bundle - it's way easier than trying to configure the addon).

Then just punch in the address and you're there.. It's amazing. I am kinda glad it didn't exist when I was 15-20 though hahaha!
