The godfather of poker, Doyle "Texas Dolly" Brunson, posted on twitter yesterday that he has been diagnosed with a form of cancer, squamous cell carcinoma, which he described as 'a slow growth type'. I've learned from a doctor some time ago that once u have cancer once, ull always be a cancer patient since the chances of it reappearing are very high, almost certain depending on ur age. Hope he beats it again.
I don't know what it's like to have cancer, but I know the feeling of knowing someone with cancer. My Nana, was diganosed with cancer 4 years and the doctors gave her 1 year to live. But lived for 92! everyone was amazed, I hope he pools through. the best poker player in the world. nuth said...

More bad news for the poker legend. He’s been struggling for so long with this disease in other forms, he already fights it for 50 years, let’s hope he can keep fighting it for more years. And nice to see how poker figures support him in such a strong way, I bet they are a good reference for him and that he likes to read these words.

He is probably my favorite poker player at all. Its unbelievable how long he is on the top when you realize how much this game changed. There is nothing more to do, but wish him all the best. I hope that he will win this "fight" as he did in past.

If there's one thing that's seen Doyle Brunson survive for over 40 years in the poker world, it's his resilience. News of Doyle's illness came via his Twitter account last night: "It was malignant. 4 times I have heard that in my life. Chilling way to start the day. Squamas cell cancer, nothing to worry about. #yeahright."
My hopes, prayers, and wishes are with him. cancer is a strange beast that seems to take the lives of the undeserving. hopefully he has the worlds best oncologist.

Doyle Brunson is one of the oldest poker player alive and has won a lot of money playing over the years. Doyle has books about learning the game, he's been on High Stakes Poker and is recognized as the grandfather of poker. If you don't know who he is then you've not done much to bve invol;ved in poker for being 46 years old. Look his name up on your search engine and you'll go to school on who he is.

Fear not mates. Doyle Brunson is the God Father of poker and he did not become so by just laying low and folding it in. His is a fighter and is going to fight this new cancer tooth and nail. i look forward to seeing him in his next WSOP tournament. Still just in case I will prey for him, but i'm not sure God will listen to me as I am probable not his favorite person. I hate kissing ass even if it is a holy father.
