MY METHOD for DEALING WITH BAD BEATS & SUCK-OUTS  0
Hi all i posted this to another member so i tho i would create a thread..
My system for dealing with bad beats / suckouts etc is this : for every hand i play correct with and is the best hand from pre/ flop, but it gets lost to a worse hand ..well that hand owes me on the long run till i get a paybak on it. ..eg my AK gets sucked by AQ .so AK owes me until i get a pay-bak winning hand with it, it wil alwaysl owe till it pays , also u can use the AQ when u have it in hand to bad beat AK, either way u can cross the damage of ur hit-list of bad beats/suck-out blues.

I have found this method to be useful in keeping a positive outlook on game and keep an emotional content at the tables (as BRUCE LEE quoted) award ur self a $ for a paybak and $$ for a revenge..lol

Phil ivey was screwing behind the scenes apparently to be knocked out with AK vs AQ darvin moon hand rem!!!wsop ME FT.

Also rem poker players mostly talk about there bad beats and best hands, u rarely will here from how they suckd-out or bad beat another player but it happens millions times everyday and is part of what we must expect the unexpected when it happens put as mental note to self and u wil be suprised how much u improve ur play and get revenge as well as a good-paybackt. also list how many times U. badbeat and suck out on other players to ..

Infact after writing this i will get myself a small notebook or create one in the chat box notes to keep a list of those hands. JAKZ OWE EVERY1 LOL

i hope this poker tip helps, try it and see. let me know if it works for you.
gg gl all maybe see u at the tables

PS:also how do u deal with it? SOZ 4 ANY BAD TEXT cant find my spekz

Either you will have to have a pretty good memory, or star writing down all those hands Smile
If i figure out from mine the time i was playing lots of hands per day you just cant keep track
of them.
You also need to be more focused in your game if you are serious about it, instead of
keeping such data.

Im not sure I actually get this or any intended benefit to me or indeed anyone else. do you really expec to keep a book of all of your losing hands to then check them off if the same cards win later on? sonds a bit time consuming and perhaps merely a test of probability!

just txt it in ur chat notes ..1.AK Vs AQ ETC SIMPLE and easy im a multi-tasker so not a prob u will be suprised how many u add and cross of and it will prob make u adjust to the mental issues players get in dealing with bad beats...Patick Antonius smashed 3 laptops in 1 year he said...gg gl

For me, it's just ... well, taking a 5 min break. I mean, literally. Sit out, take a walk around my house, and say to myself "s**t happens", and go on. After the game though, I go for a long walk (talking hours here) and look at all the possible aspects of how I played the hand, where I screwed up, why I did it, and learn from it ... and use that the next time I get BBts, to just chilax and be 99% sure I played the hand correctly Smile I unno, it's a stackup game that just leaves me calmer.

Your idea is very similar to one already coined by a Poker Pro.. google "Sklansky Dollars" to see.

Last week i was getting beats all around and even thou i know it affects my game i was still trying to make up with a resigned ''f**k it'' kind of approach to the game.
Well, yesterday i had so many silly suck-outs that i even stopped playing sooner from shame lol.
It's just like so, win some lose some. karma pays back it's dues eventually.

lol as i was reading this my jj got beat by kj. but yesterday i was in rush tourny and came second by sucking out on nearly everytime someone was all in against me lol. so you just have to laugh about it and remember there's always going to be a game going on so down blow your roll playing tilted.

good luck on and off the felts all Thumbs Up

oh and remember that for everytime someone sucksout on you you will suckout on someone else (eventually) poker always evens itself out.

i feel that your taking it way too seriously, when a bad beat happens to me i analyse how i played that hand what i could have done another way, what i could have changed, but it does not bothers me much on the end. as im trying to stay calm no matter what.

Well afteryou write it down all that bad beats what is happening?Bad beats goes to your neighbor? The good part is that you take a time out from the table and stop loosing money, but this will not stop the beast sucking your blood(money) next time you show at the table
Good luck

But, do you point it down so you don’t forget that you haven’t a payback on a certain hand? Tht seems like joking with statistics. I know you can assume you’re right doing this, but you are only taking in consideration your own game. And this statistics are much more complex. Each game is a game, you can’t be playing a four hour session having two losses with AK, and then, in the day after, you open a table and you win two times with AK in a 15 minute and you consider it paid. It’s completely different. You can’t assume that, for having lost 63 times in a row with a hand that has a 37% probability of winning, you will be winning the next 37 times you play that hand, like you also can’t compare sessions.

Most of u missed the point i'm making, i wasn't talking stats or any pro similarities . i'm talking about the
emotional n psychological issues... the method. works for me and i do feel better knowing i played best hand correctly and until the hand paybak same game or another day day it don't matter it does paybak eventually and that's all we nee to rem..so the method psychologically n emotionally keeps me on a par with love for the game. whatever works for u i supp. just sayinng

If it worrks for you, fine....

I think everyone has it s own ways to deal with it.

talking about emotional and psychological issues is pretty hard with maththematical oriented persons (like myself)

I just look at the statistical site of a badbeat and even with a 1 % chance you still can loose...

Kool butthe maths comes naturally as does the pot odds so it's all part of the play, saying that if the best pre flop hand won everytime poker would be dead thats why its so fascinating to every1 we all have the chance to be top winners like phil ivey or dan neg or ,, even its just for a day..bless Smile

The way I look at it, every time a player sucks out against me when I have the best of it, I know that in the long run I will come out ahead and I hope he keeps making that mistake. The important thing is to have a large ratio of BI to stakes played, so that getting stacked doesn't hurt you - just reload and get ready to pull the trigger again... Evil
