i have been playing poker freerolls and the mob tourney for quite sometime now and havent gotten a good chance to take down the top prize . the highest i got was like 6th or 5th cant remember and got myself a dollar for a bankroll. whenever i get cents to play with some real money tourneys mostly playing 2cent games and 10cents but still no luck on getting into serious cash for building up a bankroll .. i dont know whats wrong with my playing style about being super tight or this just have something to do with badbeat / bad luck? well ofcourse i cant deny the fact that most players in cent tourney playing almost every hand they want and i always get myself beaten up with crazy cards . i know its inappropriate to ask for a loan or a staker .. so i am trying my best to grind up on freerolls on both ps and ftp ... hope to get a lot more positive results soon..( but then again someone might read this up and maybe he can toss a lucky chip on my account ) donations are very much welcome LOL

When you get a dollar or two from freeroll dont waste your time playing turbos cause variance is huge. Play 0.25 90man sng super tight and you ll see the difference. I don't have much myself atm got staked recently, climbing slowly but if i ship something i ll send you buck or two.

Another way you can earn some cash for poker is by spending time here in the forum discussing or posting your poker concerns, questions or even advice. I calculated the following and you could earn $50.00 for poker by doing this. You can earn up to 50 Mobpoints a day by posting or replying to other Mobsters posts. Based on this, one can earn up to 350 Mobpoints per week. At 350 Mobpoints per week it would take 14 weeks and 5 days to earn 5000 Mobpoints which is worth $50.00. Then there are things like the Mob Calendar which gives you 5 opportunities every day to win Mobpoints, Mobsafe Shots and MobDraw Tickets. would think if you played your 5 chances everyday you'd hit something which would contribute to shortening your 14 week, 5 day Mobpoint collection time. You also get 1 chance to hit the Mobsafe which if lucky, would provide a large contribution to your Mobpoints. This is just a thought, but I've been saving for quite some time and although I can't cashout right now due to living in the U.S. someday I will be able to and I'll have a nice BR when this day comes.

I have to agree with xdomagojx here, when your budget is that limited you should play some games with lower variance than tournaments, and sng are definately a way better option
I also think that sng's are much more appropiate to your tight style of play, you need to be more creative on tournaments.

its pretty amazing fellow mobsters discuss strategies and giving advices that i can use to be better thank you guys! i have to admit i am still am trying to be a lot better than yesterday and oh boy! i love playing freerolls . i always dream and aspire to be the very first team pokerstars on the philippines! i know right now its still a far-fetch dream of mine but who knows the cards will be dealt at me by lady luck would bring me to the top! hehe yeah there is a small chance i can win at the cent tourneys , i am happy though i get experience alot on there too .. great things start with small ones who knows maybe i can move into a higher one in due time just like tom dwan did !

yea i always try to crack the safe everyday and the calendar thing is like my daily habit! i know one day or the other i can beat it lol who know all we need is a positive outlook and some luck! just like in poker

i spent more than two years cashing in freerolls and losing what i won on the cash tables. it all counts towards your experience as a poker player. just learn from what you do and learn from reading posts on here. it will soon click for you. i now pretty much stick to mtt's and dont do too badly. although i have been playing some speed poker on the i-poker network but that has quite big variance for me. but i am up from yesterdays session just keep at it and one day it will just click and you will find a style of play that suits you. oh yeah, and don't beg for money. its not cool

Just another tip when you won a little money with freerolls.
try to keep it till you have at least 2$ so if your playing a SNG you won t be sitting there risking to loose you re entire bankroll (you had to play several hours to win it)
Best way to make some money by freerolls is just to play them for let s say 3 months and keep the winnings till you got a decent bankroll that allows you some air to play

you have to play much more and better to be succesfull in poker. i also struggle every day to make some decent bankroll and when i get it i loose it so quickly. work hard and i will succed. hope we meet on a live final table someday

Do play on Fulltilt and if you do then i suggest you play the $150 Freerolls(run every couple hours) and daily country freerolls($100). They pay the top 45 and top 27 so your not playing hours for 5cents like on stars(min cash is 90cents). The razz tourney is the easiest to cash and i have done so 3 nights in row.GL

You know since you've been a member since 2011 by now you could have 20,000 Mobpoints which is worth about $200.00. So start spending more time in the forum discussing your poker games, questions or share some thoughts and collect some Mobpoints so you can cashout 5000 of them for $50.00. Then you'd have some money for a BR. Just some friendly advice!

Your nick made me think if you happen to play like it says, i mean, many times in which i have good hands i get to the conclusion, in the middle of being disputing it, either at the flop, the turn or the river, that i have to fold because there's no way someone is calling or even raising my bets with a smaller game than mine. And so, sometimes, i do it, i fold, so i don't lose more money than i've already invested on that single hand. Other times, i tend to think i'm just being robbed, and so i say to my self "whatyahgot?" and call until the end or i go all-in at the river, and in most of these cases i get called with a better hand than mine and so i get so frustrated for realizing i knew i wasn't better than my opponent but still, that will to know what he had in his hand made me move that way, although knowing most probably i would be losing all my money. Do you play like this? You say you're tight, so you only move with good hands, but when you have KK or JJ and happen to see an A at the flop or the turn, do you realize you're probably worst than your opponent? Perhaps this thought can help you improve your game.
