Hello mobsters, few mins ago i've arrived home from city... and when i've checked my mail i've seen a messages from Pokerstars.

This email is being sent to the previous email address [email protected] as a security measure. If this email address change was not authorized, please email "PokerStars Support" <[email protected]> immediately.
If you did request this change, no response to this email is required.

Well I think it was a scam , and they tryed to steal your pokerstars account , send an email to support saying that your account has been hacked , and you want to change your password, but first of all , don't know how to say it in english so I'll say it in romanian cause u understand ( formateaza-ti pc-u , ai un virus in el si iti afla toate parolele ). Awesome :| i really don't believe... after fcumred loan me $10 now my account was broke... i'll email them but i really don't think i'll get back my account the problem is with my password :| i think i'll format my pc for my password safe :| there will be any problem with my credit cards ? need to call at banks ?

Don't know what to say about the credit cards , but about the account , just email pokerstars support and tell them what happened , you'll have your account back.

yeah just email support- they will solve everything out, if money is gone from account maybe they will give it back, especially since we are talking not about huge amounts

Thats why you never post personal data over the net where anyone can see them. You will need to contact them, and probably will take some time to gain access to your account. And if the money is gone they are not responsible.

6 years ago that hacking of my e-mail address occur,and stolen my money from Gamebookers via Moneybookers.Since than,I look more carefully when I click or register my e-mail address.And never used Moneybookers since that incident. Good luck s90

I'm going outside... reinstall pc windows and change all my passwords... never keep same password at all accounts... and think seriously don't play online poker on real money... maybe only free money... virtual chips... just for training... i never giving my ID photo to any online site...

^ That's a good plan, bit embarrassed about this, since I work as tech-support and have a degree in computer science, but a little while ago I got a trojan on my PC.. I did exactly that - reformatted, reinstalled windows, changed all my passwords ( in that order obviously).
Oh - for anyone reading this, pretty much the best password advice is make sure your email password is completely unique to all your other passwords, if you like keeping a consistent password so it's easy to remember how to get into lots of sites, just keep a different (and strong) email password- email is the key to everything else. Once somebody has access to your email, they can pretty well reset any other account via the email.

I've been hacked as well and what jess says is pretty much the case. If someone can access your e-mail they can get in to anything else that has ties to it. I had to go back in and setup all my wife's e-mail, lottery and it even affected her work because the hacker attempted to collect money or have it sent to them from contacts she had in her e-mail address book. It's a shame advanced technology is so benenificial yet so dangerous when used in the thieving manner. Good Luck!
