With the WPT's first Main Event in the Canadian city of Montreal set to kick off tomorrow, the stars are already out in force ahead of the $3,000 event. Preliminary events have been running since last Thursday and yesterday the $1,000 deepstack kicked off with 386 runners.

Canada is a great place and playing poker there must be even better than in most places cos the people there are so genuine and friendly. So, lets all keep trying and end up playing a BRM event there one day!

Huge crowd for WPT Montreal Daniel Negreanu was one of the first to air his concerns about schedule writing on Twitter: "Just noticed WPT Montreal is playing 12 levels on day 1 WOW! That makes for a 14+ hour play day about a 10 hour turn around. I don't think that's the best approach and is a bit unfair to older players."
