NBC's popular Heads-Up Championship is set to return in January according to a tweet from the show's producers, POKER PROductions.

According to the short message the 64 player invitational will commence on January 24th and run through until the 26th.

Taking place inside Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, the tournament will eventually air on NBC in March and run for six consecutive weeks with a total of 12 hours of action.

Many of the finer details are yet to be worked out, but the likes of former Victory Poker CEO, Dan Fleyshman have already expressed an interest in competing in the event.

I always kind of liked this event especially since it has such a high media coverage so it's also good for the poker world Smile

This year not sure how many sponsors will be interested to join the action considering that online poker is not allowed in US.
