The WPT Champions Club trophy now has a new country engraved on it, because Marcin Wydrowski took down PartyPoker WPT Prague yesterday bacame the first-ever champion from Poland. Wydrowski overcame a field of 567-players (one of the biggest ever WPT Europe fields) to win the title, $423,957 in prize money and, of course, a $25,000 seat in the WPT Championships at the Bellagio.

Wydrowski is the first Polish WPT champion ever, and he'll take home €325,000 for his achievement.Polish online pro Marcin Wydrowski continued cruising through the final table when he reached heads-up play against Alexandr Lahkov. After winning some smaller pots, he called off a 4-bet shove with 7c7d and was way ahead of Lahkov's 7s6s. The flop of Jd8d5c brought a sweat, but the Ks turn and Kd river ended the event with the WPT's first ever Polish champion.
