A lot of shootings in the USA latelly A man shot and killed a female and then turned the gun on himself at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino on Friday night. The woman was a vendor for travel website VEGAS.com working at the hotel's registration desk. A preliminary investigation suggested the two deceased people had a previous dating relationship, but as yet neither of them have been identified. Vegas is usually very safe because it has a heavy security presence, however with the tragedy in Newtown taking place the same day, there was a real sense of nervousness on the Las Vegas strip among the tourists interviewed by mainstream media.

Its just one more tragic and a sad incident which took the lives of innocent children
Its just not the first time either in this year alone there have more than 3 such incidents !!! USA must seriously consider their laws on guns !! they have a abundance of private arms !! Vegas isn't safe !! i thought they would have a very tight security !!

What happened in the casino someone can say it was just personal. But what happened to the school i dont think it was. And not the first time something like that has happened. And the really sad side of the story is that innocent people getting hurt, people that most of the times, have no connection whatsoever with the shooter.

the gun laws need to be changed in America, they are far too lax, there's nothing wrong with wanting ti protect oneself but cmon do they really need assault rifles and such like in their houses? have a pistol by all means for protection but it should be restricted to just that. only my opinion.

Las Vegas is one of the most UNSAFE cities in the U.S. today with an average of 3 to 5 homicides a day. I lived 68 miles outside of Vegas and there's people killed everyday by someone. If you go on the internet and look you'll see I'm telling the truth. They just don't publicize it like the big freak killers that do estrange things then take their own life.
If I'm not mistaken Las Vegas was leading for the most homicides in any city when I lived out west.
