Christmas brm tourney on my ipod?   0
hey all!
does anyone know if i will be able to play the home games tourney on my Ipod?
when i put the tourney ID into the search field it doesn't come up but its there when i see what tourneys i'm registered in. So i'm thinking i will be able to but don't want to get to the time of the tourney and find it doesn't come up.

Thanks in advance people Thumbs Up

i've just googled stars home games on ipod- saw the stars mobile faq section- and after browsing through them i've found this:

Are there any features currently unavailable on the Mobile Poker application?
Yes, not all features available on the desktop version of PokerStars are available on PokerStars Mobile Poker. These include:
Home Games
The ability to change account information such as your mailing address, password, phone numbers and date of birth.
Login Security Settings....and a few others

so it looks like atm home games are not available on Ipod

Oh we'll that totally sucks for me. I still might be able to make it tho. Would of just be a bit easier of I could have played on the iPod.

Thanks for that pochui anyway. Big Smile Thumbs Up

I have to say i dislike all of apples products, but its hard not to hear or see about them.
Isnt the ipod the one that plays music? Are you asking about ipad, or they even made
it available there too.

I think the best games that work on mobile application are cash games.

Also tournaments are pretty good to play on tablets since you can do other stuff in the house and play Big Smile

You can always use a Remote Desktop app, to connect to a windows machine, that runs your poker client...

You really need an iPad for this though, for screen size and resolution reasons.

Nowadays I play all my poker on my iPad, connecting with RDP (I use the "2X client" free app) to my home theater PC, that's running a Windows XP pro virtual machine. This VM runs my poker client software, as well as Holdem manager. It works like a charm!

I just started using splashtop 2 myself, and it works like a charm. I don't use it for poker though, I just use it for accessing my video rendering machine, so I can set up encoding batches without having to go to the computer Smile

As for entering the tourney, I wonder if registering for it on a desktop, and then just logging in and playing it on your ipad/whatever would work. Since it's technically a tourney, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

It's on my iPod touch. I can play the brm freerolls on it and cash games, speed poker, sng's, and other tourneys but it doesn't show home games. I have registered for the tourney on my laptop an when I look what tourneys I'm registered in on my iPod it shows the brm one. So hopefully I will be able to play it.

Yeah, I think it's just the "home game" section of the software that doesn't show up. You should still be able to PLAY the games, just can't register for them, if that makes sense.

hey bulletooth1 if you want to test this out so you don't get into sh1tty situation when you can't play even you hoped you can, i suggest testing this out at first.
i will arrange a freeroll home game for today/tomorrow if you want- just specify the time (it will go off with 2 players- i will register, but will not play, just sit-out)- register for the game on your laptop- and try to play the tourney on your Ipod Touch...should i set the tourney up?

ok i have created a "dummy" tourney for tomorrow 12.00 gmt as you asked- also i registered for it- since tourney needs at least 2 players to take off. it's a play money tourney, buy-in 11 play money chips. have a go and inform us here on the forum how it went.
anyways hope to see you in the tourney, one way or another Big Smile

it wasn't letting me open any application. not even system restore. i ran the check disc on start up and it fixed some bad clusters or something and now all my stuff works except pokerstars and fulltilt poker. ive just un-installed them and i'm just about to re-install them see if they work now.

if not, and if i can't play on my iPod then i'm well fooked lol.
