Seems feasible. Just because someone is not at home doesn't mean they can't play online poker. Has this anonymous forum writer never heard of a laptop?

I think if the guy seen Luke 2 tables from where he was playing that he also would have seen the laptop in front of him.

I dont believe he was playing..

I know I've been to a lot of casinos and I can't see any casino allowing an individual to have a laptop at the table while playing live. I mean your not even allowed to talk on your cell phone when playing the live games like roullette, poker, blackjack or any other live game. Your immediately excused from the table if you even answer your cell phone in every Vegas, Reno or small casino I've played in.

Hang about! How would it be cheating anyway? My wife plays for me sometimes when I've had to go out. It's not as if he's multi accounting or anything.
Maybe someone can tell me the rules regarding letting someone play for you?

Letting someone play on your account is against their T+Cs and if they find out they will close your account instantly. Its tantamount to cheating because who you are playing isn't the person who your opponent thinks he is playing.

But the whole point of a nickname is so your opponent will never who he is playing. Confused

It's technically cheating, because if you've played against that player before, and have HH/stats on him, then it would be irellevant because you're not playing against that person. It's stupid, but it's technically a rule. It's easy enough to check though, all FT has to do is check the IP he's logged in from, and reference it against the casinos.

I think that having a HH on someone is more a way of technological-'cheating' than letting someone else take over your account for a period of time, as long as the guy on his account wasn't a minor etc I don't see anything wrong with it, if you want a real person in front of you of whom you know you are up against, go to a live table...

If I had my account banned for cheating ie collusion, then whats to stop me using a friends account to play with. My opponent doesn't know I am a cheat and therefore plays happily, unawares that I am not using the account which has been banned.

Yes it does you halfwit, because you've copied it, so even if he wanted to delete it, you've just shown it again.

That's not a very good excuse... I know pros like Luke Schwartz are able to play excellent poker anywhere, in any conditions, but i don't know if he would be able to be using the laptop at the same time he was playing at that cashgame at the Victoria Casino Cardroom in London. Now this casino must also explain if players are alowed to use laptop while playing at the tables. This won't end here...

first of all this is traceable very easily- all casinos have cameras, so it is not a big deal to check whether guy was playing the tourney or not (just by zooming a camera on his laptop, which he said he had at the casino.
greenmohave has a valid point- usually you are not allowed to use laptops/tablet/cell phones at the tables, but it might have been a vip room or something similar, where rules a created to be broken eventually Big Smile

He probably played in the casino, but really I don't see any big problem with this.
Who cares if some1 else played on his acc. I don't

you guys think Daniel Negreanu plays for real on poker stars? wtf they alway find a reason to not pay the money when you win . faking online poker is just a big faking scam. if you want to sue someone you dont even know who the fack you have to sue. they decide when to give money becaus you dont have any chance to oppose them.

it was me who played instead of Schwartz so i want my 30% from this winning

If this is the case it's very, very easy to check, as you all know all casino have video cameras!

Frankly i do not see this to be impossible and most of all it's really easy to get proof if it's true or not!

G'day mate,
It sounds like a total BS excuse. The last time I checked you were NOT allowed to even answer a damn cell phone or read a text message in any live casino without getting banned and tosed out on your arse for trying to cheat. They would not allow a player to play at the table with a laptop to play in an online tournament. Now come on and give your head a shake.

It does not matter he got credit for the win and he win be paid. It is not right but it is what it is.

merry xmas

it is all about making fake news LOL. if the guy who claims this story, saw Luke with his laptop, this would'nt be "news". LOL.
