Ok I was thinking about this the other day and it relates nicely to the cheating debate going on about luke Schwartz. What if I loaded mansion poker on my net book and loaded William hill on my laptop and played in the same tourney (because they are both I-poker) would this be classed as cheating? I've never tried it nor do I want to but I was just curious as to wether it's even possible. Surely there must be some ruling about it somewhere?

Hi Tony............This would be cheating and it is perfectly possible. Morally how would feel, specially say if you won a tourney? I know I would feel crap. I think it would be hard for the I poker network to find out but if they did they would probably shut down both of your accounts. Not sure though. Reading through your previous posts I don't think you would be the type to do that though, nor do you need to.

It's definitely cheating and i-poker strictly forbids. Assuming you've got the same personal details on each account, they would be frozen pretty shortly after doing it.

Yes mate it would most definately be considered cheating. I am surprised you even had to ask. I also like to think you would not try to pull this type of thing off. Reading your post since joining this site would lead me to think you are a stand up fellow.

If they find out, your in trouble. So maybe you can get away with it at low stakes tourneys, but you most likely will be found out at higher stakes. Just play rebuy tourneys.

Well I have heard something alike on other pokersites....
In freerolls , players that know eachother go allin versus eachother so that one of them gets a bigger stack and gets more chance to get itm.
I have seen it happen on tables in freerolls (in later stages like level 4 or later) that 2 players (speaking foreign languages like Russian or something like that) play versus eachother by doinig a big raise preflop , one raises big postflop (just not an allin) and fold after the turn.

Yeah - there'll always be plenty of collusion in poker, you see more of it in the freerolls and such because the sites don't really care so much at that level (they'll still act on it) - and people are stupider, try to 'steal' from the freerolls, no ambition. At the higher levels it's certainly not so blatant / obvious - but no doubt there's plenty of mid-high stakes collusion.
Saying it's usually 'foreigners' doesn't really make much sense on an international forum talking about multi-national sites, we're all foreigners lol.

Don't get me wrong people. i would definitely not do it (i have no need to cheat and my moral compass is still pointing true ) i was just curious that's all. just wondered if it was possible because i know you can't run two i-poker clients at the same time on one computer. i guess if you didn't play in the same game as your other self, say if you wanted to complete a bonus on two sites, then it shouldn't be a problem right?

Of course there's a ruling about it! It's called cheating since you'd have to setup two separate accounts with personal information in one case would have to be falsified or use someone you know that would assist in this scam. I'm sure there's someone out there that's done this or may be doing this, but leave it to the low lifes who want something for nothing or don't believe in having good, clean, fun!

I'm sure there would be a whole lot of them.. Plenty of people steal and cheat and when it's made so easy, there is no chance there wouldn't be a whole lot of people doing it.
------------ Mind you - the fact that there is multiple i-poker skins is pretty well moot. Since it's no different to creating for example two poker stars accounts and firing them up on separate PCs / connections.
