PokerStars have confirmed that the second annual Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) will return with a $15 million guarantee and culminate in a $700 Main Event on Sunday, January 27. January 17 sees the series kick off, where 50 events will guarantee a total prize pool of $15 million - a $5 million increase on 2012. The series encompasses a variety of buy-ins, from $7.50 to the $2,100 High Roller, so there's something for everyone.

oh joy yet another excuse for bingo players to shove all in pre flop and talk smack when they get rewarded for their bad play. Thank you so much pokerstars I was worried that in the new year a few of the idiot donks might actually try and learn something. I should have known you would ride to the rescue and keep the shove monkeys happy and entertained yet again. We would not want them to actually play good poker after all.

I dont think there be will much donks when compared to micro millions or any other events !! As the buy ins are a bit high i expect the exclusion of the donks to a certain extent!! Anyways a great event indeed

Now that I don't really play poker any where near as much as I used to, I tend to play mostly turbo MTTs.. I quite like them, also - even though there isn't a lot of challenge in shove/fold play, it's amazing how many people simply have no fucking idea.
* Not understanding the GAP concept (the difference in calling range and shoving range) * Not understanding when it's correct to shove/fold and instead make ridiculous limps/raises with short stacks * People who fold when they're priced to shove/call any 2 cards
And a whole range of other generally bad plays.
For a format of poker that should be nearly unbeatable due to it being so formulaic / mathematic, it's incredible how huge an edge you can actually have in these games. Poker certainly ain't dead!
