Have you got some hand histories ? If we can see how you are playing those kinds of hands then perhaps we can help you. The main thing is to make sure you raise high enough, and if that means going all in pre flop then do it.

Half the problem is people min raise or even limp and that lets players in at a cheap price. Get the money in the mddle and make them pay to see the flop.

Hi Stephen, sounds like you have some research to do, c************m has some good strategy blogs and tools, research 1. Position. 2. Playing AA. 3. Bankroll management. 4. Betting strategies. to start with, try to understand completely what is being said or taught and then apply it to your game, do not try to apply a generalization of the concept, ensure you understand it entirely. Good patience and improving your player reading skills and all the other skills required to be good at poker take's time, effort and understanding.
I still lose with AA, normally I will be short stack vs a major stack and his call is probably with good % play, still sucks. Sometimes "Things" happen, can not avoid it, as long as you play good poker and are learning each and every day, even if it seems a bit trivial, like how a certain player (or type of player) would over-bet certain situations which you store and will take advantage of one day.
Join the PS leader board and the freerolls for some "free" cash - be prepared its an all-in donkey fest, it will certainly test your patience and timing.

Good luck out the bro and all BRM's

Try to get heads up with those hands. So bet and raise and reraise preflop. But just going all-in 100BB deep will lead to nothing. In tourneys with your stack less than 20BB big, it may be an option.

1) Proper Bankroll management is important if you don't want to go broke.

2) Never slow play aces. Just don't do it. Raise to isolate, and be prepared to let them go if the flop is wet (ie: flush/straight etc). I SWEAR 99% of all "OMG MY ACES GOT CRACKED, POKER IS RIGGED" threads are because people try and slow play and end up letting 6 people see a flop.

3) Study your ass off. Read articles, watch videos, post hands. Always try and read at least 1 article, or watch 1 video every time you play. You'll be surprised how much easier it is to learn/apply a new concept, when you're playing.

4) Never play pissed off.

5) Play tight, and learn position.

6) Aggression doesn't mean donk-spewing chips off trying to bluff calling stations. Be aggressive, but pay attention and do so with care.

7) ALWAYS think about WHY you're taking a particular line in a hand. Don't just check, raise or fold, think about WHY you're doing it.

I dont ALWAYS try to isolate with AA or KK.

You CAN slow play them by just calling a raise.
Maybe your opponent has AK and an A comes on the flop.
If its a loose player he/she wont let his top pair go easaly so you can bust him with that.

But when you do that you must also be prepared to lay your AA dont when the flop is bad and your opponent bets aggresive. AA is just 1 pair then.

lots of good tips from brm'ers as usual, have to agree with most of them. just be sure whatever strategy you use- you will suffer badbeats, sometimes even a lot of them- that's just the way poker is. and yeah- a decent sample size is a must if you want to do a proper on where you are leaking money...gl

i;m no expert but i always make a hefty raise with AA,if someone has raised before me then i go all-in
i don't want to be facing 3 or 4 guys after the flop,so i get them in.doesn't always work of course Smile

reffering to teddybears,,,

i also do not want to get called by a weak hand or multiple weak hands...with my A-A

against any strong hand ,with A-A you are still favorite..so rather play against someone with a real hand ,then to a total donk calling with any 2,and beat me badly.

some people ,like to slowplay A-A ,because they afraid they will not get any value for their A-A
and everybody will fold on their bet/raise.

my oppinion is: no mather how weak you bet... if they gonna fold ,,they fold
but if they like their hand and wanna call or reraise you ,they do it anyway..no mather how high your preflop aggression is...

poker not just math, need good feeling and luck too. When lost with AA you should think to break for few days. Without good skill is hard to win in bad luck day. Every poker player always get it, so usual. no need frustrating. Good luck next Smile
