*RANDOM TIP OF THE DAY. 2x vs 3x Preflop   0
MTTs are wild, well all know that. Objective #1 is to stay alive long enough to place. We must steal blinds and eventually face a race. I used to 3x raise any suitable starting hands. AA-56suited only to find my self creating massive pots with people who usally ended up beating me or they were slow playing an even bigger hands.
I make my moves around the blinds, from the cutoff.. i will toss out a min raise with a half decent starting hand 2x.. for many reasons...
1. POT control
2. A min raise still applies pressure to players OUT of position
3. Its entices players IN position to call with WEAK hands (weak call from the button)
4. Sets you up nice to Cbet the flop regardless if you hit or missed it for a decent size pot.
5. I continually watch players stack off with A rag when they are face with a min raise.

There is no stone cold strategies, i like to mix it up once in a while around the blinds. If i have a stubborn guy to my left i will min raise and 3x with poor and strong hands all day long..

good luck mobbers

well just as you said near the end of your "random tip of the day" speech- there is no one strategy that "unlocks all the skirts" Big Smile imo you just have to keep a cool head, have lots of tools at your disposal, and always try to see what works best at any given time/situation/table/tourney etc.
