Sometimes the chat between two high stakes players is more interesting that the action at the felt. After 36 hours of battling , $2,000/$4,000 Limit Omaha. , "SallyWoo" decided to quit, but not before Gus let off a frustrated verbal tirade: SallyWoo: gg, sry Gus I'm just too tired, I promise I'll play u as soon as I wake up. Gus Hansen: Always quit when you want. SallyWoo: I simply don't have the stamina u have, it's really insane. Gus Hansen: Don't worry about leaving me being broke jumping off a bridge. SallyWoo: I would kill to be broke like u.
Whether he was joking or not is unclear, but when you're on the end of an $800,000 downswing it's probably fair to say that you're not in the best frame of mind.

Sounds as if he was really upset and worried that he wouldn't be able to play at the Bellagio for a night or 2. I wish I was as broke as him....................what a dream !!!!
GL to all mobsters in 2013..........and let us all end up as broke as Gus Hansen.

When i see such amounts getting lost in poker i feel somehow weird. I bet the majority in here if they had won 800k would quit playing poker for money. I would do that for sure. Then would try something else with less risk

G'day mates I would like to have just 1/10th of the money Gus Hansen has won and lost over his career. I am sure I would be a millionaire. I hope he turns things around even though he can be jerk at times. I find he is entertaining to watch.

"SallyWoo" continue their positive run at the virtual felt with a profit of $241,688. Fresh from their destruction of Gus Hansen, the nosebleed grinder is now up almost $1 million in the last 72 hours. Indeed, a solid three days of poker had seen "SallyWoo" break the seven figure mark; however, a series of small losses left them on $760,363 at the end of yesterday's session. The winning streak puts their overall profit for 2012 at $558,207, which is some way behind the year's biggest winner Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky who has banked $3,581,763. At the other end of the spectrum, Gus Hansen dropped over $500,000 yesterday to fall even further into the red for 2012. The Dane is now looking at a deficit of $3,109,619 this year, which is almost $2 million more than "patpatpanda" who's currently the year's second biggest loser.
