Party like a rock star  0
If there's one thing poker pros know how to do aside from value betting and bluffing, it's partying.
Having enjoyed a phenomenal 2012, Antonio Esfandiari decided to welcome the New Year twice: once in Australia and once in the U.S.
After witnessing "an amazing" NYE firework display in Sydney, Australia, Antonio and his entourage jumped on a private jet and flew back to Las Vegas to enjoy another night of celebrations.
The move was certainly one of the most lavish made by a poker player this year, but if there's anyone who can pull off such a feat, it's Antonio.

I read this about Esfandiari celebrating twice the new years eve,
and i know it has happened before, and you dont need to be a millionaire to accomplish
something like that.
But while i was reading that, the thing that popped in my mind was,
when do the astronauts in the space station have the New Year?
Are they doing it according to the US time?

I hope he does participate in the PCA, cos' I think he will do his bollocks! It is a English expression meaning he will lose all his money. I have watched him on different Poker shows and think he is a complete twat. He won the drop I know, but he didn't even own all of the winnings and I know this is a regular thing for top players, but I just don't like him..........Thanks for listening while I got that out the way.......end of rant..............Happy new year to you all....... Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile

G'day mates

It is possible to do so several time at least 5. Here in Canada about twenty years back we had a scandel involving a former political maggot who took a military plane along with its crew and several of his buddys on a New Years joint to 5 different time zones. they started in japan and finish in Canada but hit several Europe places and Greenland, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Toronto, Ottawa, and the USA.
It is very possible with a fast plain and a good crew and planing.

Be Cool and luck in 2013

Private jets allow those who have access to them to do incredible things. I guess that, at some point of their lives, they get so used to use it that they don’t even care, but those who only read about it on the news will keep amazed on the way they can do stuff like this. It’s like watching Ronaldo playing Tuesday night (30.12) in Madrid, passing Wednesday afternoon (30.12) with his girlfriend in Central America and went for a New Year Party at the isle of Madeira, Portugal. This was all on the pink magazines, don’t these guys suffer with jet lag?

well to be honest it's not a new thing, rich businessmen have been doing this for a while now- there are companies that organize such entertainment- just bring in the cash and off you go. it's probably a bit odd experience imo, you just celebrated the new year & moments after you're doing the same thing... Confused dunno if it's right- sound like someone just had a good sh1t in da toilet & liked it so much, that decided to put the sh1t back in da asss so he would relive the moment Big Smile

Good question...

ISS uses UTC (aka GMT), just like bankrollmob!

But like Esfandiari, they may celebrate more than once, since ISS is controlled from both Houston (UTC - 6), and Moscow (UTC + 4).

Thanks for the info marqis. I did actually a search over the internet the same night i posted
this, but couldnt find any relevant info. And for some reason the most logical seem to me
that they use US time.
