So recently, my channel got hit by a 3.4k view drop count, right around the time a LOT of YT channels dropped views. Seems YT went on a major "cleaning" and audited what they deemed to be "unclean" views. I guess I can't complain, since some of the major channels affected, lost over a billion views. However, those were cases were views were purchased, and not genuine/unique views.
I've never resorted to those blackhat tactics, so the loss of that many views blows my mind. Unfortunately, YT has a firm "we won't discuss the audit" policy, so there's no chance of getting an explanation. Not that it's a major setback, as my channel is still seeing the same amount of traffic, it's really just a cosmetic thing.
On another note, just uploaded a video a few hours ago. YT shows no views, yet 1 comment. Attached image for lols.  This post is hidden due to too many bad ratings! View the post anyway... |
