Will this work?  0
I'm thinking of snapping a rubber band on my wrist every time I make a dumb play. Has anyone tried that?

Its not your hand that makes the decisions, so why would you torture the wrong organ?

The best way to help prevent making a bad play is to document it in as much detail as you can remember. Once you've thought it through and your comfortable with the way it's worded re-write it again three times.
Supposedly this helps one retain things they don't want to forget. The key is to keep a notebook of information on specific subjects or items and then, read your notes periodically.

At the very least it sounds less painful!

if you are even contemplating this then i think that you will probably end up with one very sore wrist,as reading between the lines you are making the dumb plays that you are talking about more than you want to, i think you should try something else a little less painful, why not try what Green has suggested as it sounds like good advice to me.
and nice advice it is Green Thumbs Up

It seems radical, but maybe will work. If you happen to snap that rubber many times, you’ll understand you really have to change something on your strategy. Just don’t hurt yourself that much. You gave me a similar idea, not that painful for the body, but for the wallet. Each time one does a dumb play, why not picking a real dollar/euro coin and put it in a jar, with the commitment of not taking it out in a year. This way, if you lose it all online, you know you’ll have enough to make a new deposit next year with that saved money from the dumb plays.

Personally I am a fan over positive reinforcement more than negative reinforcement.. Or at the very least you could combine the two. That is to say: Reward yourself for making the correct plays - especially when a difficult/critical decision is required. These decisions don't even have to be related to a specific hand, it could also be something like "quitting a session when you know you've become tired and slipped from your A-Game, even though you really would like to continue playing".

Haha Worship

Jess is right though, positive reinforcement is better. But how do you reward yourself? Don't give yourself chocolate or candies, it might not be so positive in the long run Blink But food does work for dogs ^^

yeah better put that rubber band on your cock & snap it really hard when you make a bad play, looks like more promising solution imo

G'day mate

I think if I was to do that on the wrong day I would end up with a lot of bruising on my wrist.
I would need to lie to certain friends and tell them I slipped and sprang or maybe broke my wrist.
These are the same guys who other wise would be telling my if I did not stop stocking so much I was gonna go blind. Some of them would even start childish rumors that the others would love to pick up and run with just to have a little fun at my expense. There really are a great bunch of idiots, but their my idiots. Smile

Be cool and best of luck. Thumbs Up
