Have you noticed the new trend when playing pokerstars or Fulltilt the all in people now are playing 2/2 like they are holding AA. Now I am a very well read poker player I have read Doyle's books and yes even Helmuth's dribble about table chatter. But no where did I read when playing poker too shove all in on 2/2 granted they are playing with someone else's money, but come on this is a game of math and skill and no where I see any of the group of books say "shove it in and let the gods figure it out" . I dunno maybe Im jaded towards online poker, or maybe i just dont the balls too call crap. I like poker live and I wish people played poker online same way....ahhh who am I fooling this will never happen...Roll the FREEROLL dice and let the gods make you rich...
Peace and Love too all in the world and may the felts of green show you some money in this New year...

If the opponents fold to easily, like it seams you do, it is profitable to be aggressive, even with weaker holdings. The cards don't matter, as there is no showdown anyway.

Heads up, Any PP vs a lower PP is 87% to win. So 22 is literally dominated by pretty much everything, even 2 over cards. I've noticed as well, that donks seem to shove and call with 22, and I can't wrap my head around why, because they are such underdogs against pretty much anything.
To me, small pocket pairs are the easiest hands to play, especially when you have a decent stack. If there's a raise, call and fold if you don't hit your set on the flop. If there's no raise, you can either raise or limp and play passively if you don't hit. Shoving small pocket pairs pre flop only makes sense when you have less than 15 BBs. And even with a short stack, shoving 66> in early positions is pretty bad since you're only getting called by 2 overs or a bigger pocket pair.

G'day mate
Well what can I say here. We all know that donks really do not know what they are doing, There generally have watched to much poker on tv and seen some so-called pro make a move with a weak pair which of course worked out for them on the television program. Donk brain goes. click ah this must be a great move ill do it too. Then online they keep getting rewarded for bad play so they just keep doing it.
Enough said.
Bee cool and luck to you.

Well the first requirement to being a donk is stupidity about what is good poker play. I mean do you really think that most donks have even read a single book on poker or studied the game beyond watching it on television.

I've actually been getting better finishes and winning a lot of the low buyin SnG's I play just be patient and sitting out more less and watching everyone play. I know what your saying about the 2,2 and, any other pair is basically an allin hand with 70% of the players I notice. Your right about it not changing either, at least from an online poker standpoint. To many non-caring, unskilled players who play with an attitude, not a mindset.

Good day everyone Donks all the way they play with all sort of hands that too as agressive of holding AA preflop .... they even tend to play 27 suited or unsuited and even shove with them !!! sick donks !!!! Pocket pairs are easy to play .. raise it if we get re raised its an easy fold ,, small pocket pairs are usefull when playin hu , can put a lot of pressure with them

Maybe it's got to do with the position they are playing at. You know that, sometimes, you can be able to make your opponents think you have something in your hand that you happen not to have. It's like seeming to call someone to put more chips on a flop and then re-raise it to all-in. Your opponent can become so confuse he will think you surely have better hand than him to be playing that way. Of course that things can go wrong if your opponent, either is dumb and don't get what your doing or it simply doesn't fall on your trap, decides to call your all-in and you have to show your hand. But keep pointing those AA losses down, that will make increase the odds on your side to win with AA the next time you have that hand!

if opponent has something like AK, AQ, KQ, simply unpaired high hands, its not important which lower pair you have, its still coinflip with 22 or 88. There are "only" 12 possible hands against which you will be big underdog - any pair. against anything other its almost coinflip. So its not completely bad to go allin preflop, but ofcourse only when you are shortstack and only against one player.

there are rules and rules and then there is poker! we all focus on poker etiquette and get annoyed when someone caals or raises out of sync wih what we are led to expect........ if you played Helmuth or Negreanu live and they shoved with 22 everyone would say they outplayed you with a bluff!!!!!!!
