There is something fundamentally and inherently wrong with my thought process. Can't understand how someone can get killed because of a card game? Was curious about poker laws in the Great State of Texas, after all it's the home of holdem, and was shocked to find this:
Don't plan on going to Texas for a poker holiday anytime soon. Although, am in full agreement with applying the taxes from poker proceeds to assist the homeless, they're really missing the boat with the amount of revenue they could generate with a little more deregulation. In many ways it's a blessing living in Canada.

All I can say is thank God i am once again living back here in Canada again. The United Dictatorship of American States is really losing its frecking mind about gambling. Whats next a bill do shut down Las Vegas? Yes I know i just went way out to the extreme but I was trying to make a slippery slop point here Why can't politicians just screw off and live people alone.

I think I must agree with you about Canada in many respects I do prefer to live here. I did live in the USA for almost 2 full years and I did like where I was living but really I do prefer Canada.
We have a lot more rights and freedoms in some areas. expecially in reguards to internet and privacy issues. I the USA it was illegal for me to download most torrents while here in Canada an online torrent is considered fine for download, it is like going to a library to check out a book, but the library is just online.

Its not only in US that things like that is happening in general.
A little bit off topic here but it relates in "Country Laws". Not more than a day ago i read that Gerard Depardieu, gained Russian citizenship in an effort to keep more money to his pockets. The French Government is thinking to impose a 75% tax to all those with earnings more that 1 million Euro. Thats right 75%. Some one can say they are rich and if they dont pay the taxes who will. But not this. This is outrageous. So he is moving to Russia with 13% tax income !

Yep! Idiots, running our country and dictating what we can do. We go to work, pay their fkin wages with our tax dollars and they decide what we can do with the rest of the money we work for. I'll be out of this country if my wife does good in here Vegas lottery trip this April. She has the chance to win up to 1 million dollars playing 6 different gaames. Please God save our souls fromthe U.S. Government. All I can think right now!

Well Amigo I have really grown to like you as a person from reading your post. You seem to be an intelligent and interesting fellow. If I had the money I would help you out so that you could afford to move to Canada. I think if we meet in person we could very easily become close friends it is just the feeling I get when reading your post and pochui's as well.
In pochui's it might be the eye candy which moves me towards liking him Lol
Im just saying hoorah
Be cool and best of luck to you and your wife sir.

Canada for the win. Although in all fairness, while our country hasn't come right out and made online gambling illegal they have legislation that makes it more difficult to deposit/wothdrawal don't they. I know in the past Visa has told me they would do mean things with my bill if I deposited on any site classified as "online gaming".

I would point out that you can go to any Canada Post outlet and purchase a Ukash ticket which everyone know is primarily used for making online gambling deposits. You can also cash out direct to your bank account or to a moneybookers or netteller account which charges a small fee but you are not getting tax then
