Hi and Hello everyone, this is my first ever poker blog and i write this in the day when i decided to quit poker. Ok let's get started: a new year, a fresh mind, 70$ and a good strategy let's make some profit. Day 1. BR:70$ first few hands hit 2 nice bad beats and here it comes my friend TILT... BR:40$ Day 2 sad and confused, tilt mode ON i go on head's up 20$ I hit straight: all in... He hold full house... I can't respect Bankroll Management at all. all i thinking is to win some money. my mind is focused on playing poker all i think is to win some money (WRONG but i can't stop it)
I need some help, drugs or something I play good live poker but online i don't think more than 2 sec on a hand. what to do. what to read. I know someday i will be on top but i need help.
P.S. I won't quit poker but i need to make some great moves with my mind before i deposit again

As i mentioned in another thread my bankroll got pulverized today so maybe i shouldn't be the one giving advice on bankroll management lol. Still, i'm not sad about it... as far as i see it i played ok. got bad beats and good beats also... it was just too many in a row for me to handle. My last hand was AK crushed by K9 with K on flop and 9 on the river... Well back to the theme here... i was fooling around with $10 on ipoker some time ago and i made them last 2 months and even turned out a little profit. What i did was creating a sort of a chart with a fixed number of games in which i would divide my bankroll, therefore making sure i would play it all and leaving no room to tilt and go to higher limits.
So in my case i planned to play 100 $0,10 stg's and write down the results of all of them ( even made up a graph to better see the evolution... geeky s**t i know lol) so even thou i would get beats i would just close it down and move to the next one.
Not saying u should play 10 cents lol... but maybe some kind of goal like so would help u control urself not to throw everything out on $20 heads ups.

Truth is i have not played in past 3 months and now i come back but i didn't talk or read anithing about poker before i started playing, so i wasn't to focused and after a few bad beats i was lost and angry.
Now i have to make obiectives for 2013. real ones and have to stick to them. i'll update my objectives until the end of this week.

the best piece of advice i can give you is this: don't even think about depositing your own money...what's the point, you'll end up donating it to someone else. better just stick with ndb's, freerolls, other promos- this way you will be guaranteed to be at least a break-even player

I have a question for the Romanians I believe that Sorin is a name if im not wrong. Is it like the most popular name in Romania, cause the majority of players ive seen in poker rooms have it either all or part of it. And wasnt hard to guess where Sorinelpoker comes from

yes is quite popular, i meet a lot of them too. I think we all like poker, maybe the pasion for poker comes with the name

well i was to lazy to set my objectives and start playing good poker, but I hope until end of the month i will do this and become more disciplinated.
anyway...
yesterday I played a facebookfreeroll 250$ (romanians only) and it was a major surprise for me that i managed to win the tournament and recieved a nice prize of 40$

and today i set my first objective for this month Objective: make a list of things that i need to do to improve my discipline in poker.
discipline in poker is a very hard thing to master. All you can do is remember to play in games that are not going to affect your bankroll too much if your on a downswing and remember that there will always be a game going somewhere. so if you are not feeling your best just take a break for a few hours or the rest of the day and come back and try again another time. I know its hard but try not to get tilted by short term results. if you play correctly you will be a winner in the long run.

is hard to gain discipline and play only when in mood because i'm unemployed right now and i have a lot of time. The thing is that i have results and I say I play good poker
I played a 0.50$ 45 players SnG and finished 3rd today. and yesterday i played a 6max SnG 15$ finished 3rd because i shoved with 77 and he had JJ
let's make some profit.
