ISPT will be a success  0
The organisers of the International Stadiums Poker Tour are confident their Wembley event will be a success.
In a recent press release the ISPT outlined that players can play Day 1 online or buy directly into the live event on June 1.
For those opting to start online, a total of six tournaments with a buy-in of €300 will be held on a range of sites
These opening tournaments will run between February and May and the top 10% of each will progress to the live finale.
Players with deeper pockets can buy straight into the live event (Day 2) for €3,000 and receive a starting stack of 50,000 chips.
Members of the community are still dubious about the practicality of the tournament, but the organisers have made it clear that the "gaming logistics will be perfect in any condition".

so they are planning to have the event on June 1st at wembley stadium huh? well then i have some news for them- on the same day at wembley a match between fc sh1tters & fc fcukers will take place there, and considering the fact that this is 14th league football- you get the idea that ISPT has no chance of postponing that

I am sure there are already many english players wating for a chance to enter this competition, and being the first time makes it an even bigger event than it can possibly be. Besides the locals, i am sure the organisation may be thinking about guaranteing the presence of a few well known pros to give it a touch of professionalism. That can have the side efect to bring even more pros from other teams who wants to ruin the party to the invited ones, and this all together will for sure transform the event in memorable tourney.

Sound Good. Have any announcements been made regarding which sites will be partaking and running the sattelites?

BRM...will we be doing anything here towards this, like as freeroll to gain an entry tidcket or something? (Just a thoughT?)

Over the past few months the beleaguered tournament has suffered a number of knocks - including switching from a live to online Day 1 - but the latest blow could prove the most costly.
Having made the decision to offer international satellites on various poker sites, the organisers have been forced to postpone them due to lack of interest.
It seems that despite offering modest entry fees of between €2.20 and €11, the initial satellites have failed to reach their minimum quotas.
While the ISPT's official Twitter account has cited technical issues for the postponement of one satellite, the signs are that the event may struggle to reach the numbers first expected.

International Stadiums Poker Tour received a boost from Europe's largest poker venue: Dusk Till Dawn.DTD officially announced that they were putting their brand behind the Wembley based event.
In addition to providing tournament staff, DTD will be guaranteeing the winner walks away with €1 million.
In more specific terms, the winner of the event will either receive 20% of the prizepool or, if that figure is below €1 million, their prize will be topped up by DTD.
The move has been met with scepticism by some who believe it's too late to salvage the event's reputation.
However, it appears as though, for now at least, the tournament will actually happen.

The International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT) has recently joined forces with the Hendon Mob.

The new partnership will give prospective players access to tournament data on each player registered for the stadium based event.

According to the press release, this will be the first time that "all data and profile information" for every player will be readily available both "before and during" a tournament.

Players visiting the Hendon Mob's site will see a dedicated ISPT tab which will load the details of every player registered or currently competing in the event.

In addition to the providing technical resources, the Hendon Mob (Ram Vaswani, Joe Beevers, Barny and Ross Boatman) will also be playing in the event.

In a statement posted on Blonde Poker, Simon Trumper reconfirmed that the winner's prize will be €1 million.

Following a review of the event's original dynamics, Simon has stated that 50% of players will get paid €540 on Day 2.

Moreover, 85% of the prizepool will be distributed amongst the final 10% of players.

He believes that this structure will provide a "suitable payout" for Day 1 (€270) players who make it through to Day 2, whilst still being "incentivising" enough for those who buy-in directly for €2,700.

The announcement also confirmed that Wembley Stadium has been booked and the tournament will follow the same "progressive clock" structure as the WSOP Main Event.

I am sure it will be a success. We are talking about a country full of people that loves the game, and from where it's cheap to travel by air, due to low cost flights and they even have a lot of cheap hostels.

International Stadiums Poker Tour tournament director Simon Trumper has outlined a series of interesting qualifiers for the polarizing event.
In addition to Facebook and Twitter freerolls offering a total of 20 seats to Day 1, Dusk Till Dawn will be holding live Day 1s on May 11, 18 and 25.
For those that who want to ante up on Day 2, the stadium portion of the event kicks off on May 31 with a buy-in of €3,000 and will continue until a winner is crowned on June 5.

Players have the option to play multiple live Day 1's at Dusk Till Dawn and/or online Day 1's on dusktillwawnpoker.com with a buy in of €300 ( €270 + €30 ), these will start with 5000 chips and blinds 10 - 20 so 250 BB. The top 10% will then carry their chips through to Day 2 live at Wembley Stadium. It is also possible to buy in directly to one of the Day 2's on May 31st / June 1st for €3000 ( €2700 + €300 ), in this case a player will receive an average stack of at least 50,000 and therefore a minimum of 250 BB as blinds start at 100-200
