So yesterday i decided to play in a $1.30 $150 guaranteed plo8 tourney on 888 (only ever played it in a freeroll) Ended up finishing 4th for $12 and today i thought i would try my luck again. Finished 3rd for $21. Was a bit disappointed this time tho because i was a big chip leader on the final table. i could have played better when it was last 3 but i had 2pair with 3 of my cards (no low hand) the guy hit his flush and the board didn't pair so i was out.
oh well gives me something to aim for tomorrow still not bad for only my second ever buy in tourney of PLO8
good luck on and off the felts all
oh and these are my only results of 2013 so far. been on a bit of a barren run. hopefully this is the turnaround i desperately need

Very good starting for 2013! And keep thinking positive: first you did 4th, then you did 3rd, tomorrow can bring even better news and sunday can be a glory day! Better not believe only in what could be a great title for some good news for you, but you are on the right way.

thanks for the comments people. appreciate it.
Posted by Macubaas: Very nice, and also this is a bit of news for me that you play on 888poker, i thought you only played on pkr?
Anyways i think 888 is the best poker platform out there after full tilt poker. Did you made your first deposit there yet?
i think your confusing me with someone else there buddy. i don't play at pkr. yeah i deposited $50 few weeks back now. i'm liking 888 quite a bit. they have some nice tourneys.
i will give it another go tomorrow and hopefully i will hit top spot. but i'd be happy with another final table

So you started 2013 with the right foot as they say Not bad results there with good profit. Plus i find Omaha myself more fun game and doesnt stress me as much as Holdem. Keep up the good work

i like plo8 game a lot- split pot games gives an extra dimension to the games- there are players who just chase for the high only or low only hands and they create relatively safe profit opportunities. this game is not very popular, many players at lower buy-in tourneys don't even know the rules properly.

yeah i'm liking it quite a bit and not just because of the results lol. i missed it today because i had to go out so will be playing it tomorrow, hopefully
the only thing about it is its a bit frustrating when you need a double up and you end up splitting the pot lol. i wasn't that desperate for one yesterday but could of done with one. i had quad 5's and the guy had the low so ended up sharing the blinds and ante's. lots of fun tho good luck all
