BRM $25 Freeroll  0
G'day mates

Well just for giggles I decided to give the BRM Freeroll on PStars a go.
I figure it might be fun to watch all the donks.
I do not expect much in the way of a good game so I should not be disappointed. Smile

Be cool mates I will let you know if I even make the points.

Later

If one does not know how the game is not afraid to lose maybe Donks do so.
I hope I win and again a couple of points. Cool

3) writing this to make the post longer, so i get the mobpoints for it

G'day mates

Well update time as promised.

I got taken out very early in the tournament the late registration was still ongoing so it I have no idea how many players finally ended up registering i think I went out somewhere around 1800th at the time but we all know they hit around 5K - 6K in players before late registration closes.

I really can not complain about my getting beat it was actually good play which was completely understandable all around. I flopped the nut stright 10 to the ace and my opponent shoved all in after the flop. I called he had hit both his pocket card on the flop so he had top two pair aces and kings after the flop. The river completed his fullhouse for him.

It made complete sense for him the believe he was ahead after the flop and i knew I might see a boat but I also felt I was most likely ahead when I called his shove.

So i did not make the money but I did play in one good hand. so no complaint.

Be cool

Oh well. Least it wasn't some horrible sickout that knocked you out.
Hope you do better in the next one you play.

Good luck Thumbs Up

Such tournaments, if you are not in for the leaderboard, you can use them for
experimenting with different style of your usual play. Although with so many players in
(damosk saying finished at 20000, so cant imagine hoe many more were in)
the reactions you will be getting may have the same result as your actions Smile

I see you don’t give that much credit to freerolls, but, if you are a good poker player, you should be conscious of the difficulty of reaching a final table or even winning one of these events. Is that due to players keep constantly playing it like all-in coin flip mode, or because of being completely impossible to predict which type of moves do your opponents adapt to their strategy, or because you think you can damage your level of knowledge by playing against someone who, allegedly doesn’t know as much about the game as you, why do you decide not to play them? Freeroll is different from free money, it means a lot of work to reach it. Those who work everyday in their profession and get to the end of the month and only receive two coins must be available to give this type of game some value. As for those who never had to battle for two coins in the end of the month, I believe freerolls aren’t just funny enough because they don’t involve that much money in the prize pool.

fakiry i used to play few hours even for 1 cent .... but with those so many joker players .... its imposible to want to play few hours for 1 cent in a freeroll. And i got even 3th 5th place in a freeroll with 10k players ... i got 1st place in a tournament with tickets and there was like 7000 players ... and played 8 hours and half .... I used to play for the Monthly leaderboard on PS ... one month i had only 19 tournaments out of 20 , and i did not get into leaderboard cause of that 1 game i missed with points ... Some tournaments just dont woth it to play in them. On FT i got 5th place in romanian freeroll out of almost 2200... and i rly hate to play against romanian players as much as i hate to play against russian players, but i keep playing, maybe i can take even 1st place ...

Have a nice evening and GL at the tables

G'day mate

You can do it if you want too. Just play good poker and let the donks kill themselves off.
Every time a donk gets taken out by another donk you get closer to the money.
Have patience and you will continue to do well.

The problem with freerolls is that although some players treat them as learning grounds or trying to build a bankroll, the likleyhood in both cases is slim to zero. So much donking and all in flips are promoting bad poker. If you look at leaderboards , i bet very few of them have actually have good players. Most are all in flippers who have built up chip stacks because the cards have run in there favour, which appears to be a lot of the time. So as bank roll builders or as learning ground freerolls are becoming a waste of time.

G'day mate

I agree with you that most of the time they are a waste of my time but I have recently been playing some freerolls in order to practice anf improve my personal patience and discipline levels. It has been helping me to keep my calm and farther develop my ability to remain diligent even when short stacked.

be cool
