Following the success of the WSOP Europe, the World Series of Poker is expanding to another part of the globe this year.
The first-ever World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific (WSOP APAC) has just released an official tournament schedule. The following 6 events will take place at the Crown Melbourne in Australia from April 4th - 15th, 2013: April 4, 2013 1 No-Limit Hold’em Accumulator - Day 1 Flight A (5 Day Event) AUD$1,100 April 5, 2013 1 No-Limit Hold’em Accumulator - Day 1 Flight B (5 Day Event) AUD$1,100 April 6, 2013 1 No-Limit Hold’em Accumulator - Day 1 Flight C (5 Day Event) AUD$1,100 April 7, 2013 1 No-Limit Hold’em Accumulator - Day 2 (Combine Stacks & Fields) April 7, 2013 2 Pot-Limit Omaha - Day 1 (3 Day Event) AUD$1,650 April 8, 2013 2 Pot-Limit Omaha - Day 2 April 8, 2013 1 No-Limit Hold’em Accumulator – Final Table April 8, 2013 3 Mixed Event (3 day event) AUD$2,200 April 9, 2013 3 Mixed Event - Day 2 April 9, 2013 2 Pot Limit Omaha – Final Table April 9, 2013 4 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em (3 day event) AUD$5,000 April 10, 2013 4 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em - Day 2 April 10, 2013 3 Mixed Event - Final Table April 11, 2013 4 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em - Final Table April 11, 2013 5 WSOP ASIA-PACIFIC MAIN EVENT - No-Limit Hold’em AUD$10,000 April 12, 2013 5 WSOP APAC MAIN EVENT - Day 2 April 13, 2013 5 WSOP APAC MAIN EVENT - Day 3 April 13, 2013 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em w/Re-Buys (2-Day Event) AUD$50,000 April 14, 2013 Caesars Cup Invitational - Asia Pacific vs. Europe vs. The Americas April 14, 2013 5 WSOP APAC MAIN EVENT - Day 4 April 14, 2013 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em Final Table April 15, 2013 5 WSOP Asia-Pacific Main Event Championship - Final Table
Of the above 6 tournaments, 5 will award WSOP bracelets (the High Roller will not).
Perhaps the most interesting detail about the schedule is that Event #1 is an "accumulator" tournament. This means that players can buy in on any or ALL of the three starting days, and any chips they finish with will be combined to form their Day 2 starting stack.
For example, if a player busts Flight A, finishes Flight B with 100,000 chips, and finishes Flight C with 80,000 chips, that player will begin Day 2 with 180,000 chips.
The first four bracelet events will be live-streamed around the world. The Main Event, Caesars Cup, and High Roller event will be televised.

yeah really interesting concept: accumulator event- i think this is attractive, and from the point of luck, concept helps a bit to even out the luck factor- since a bad beat can take you out in 1 tourney, but later you make up the 1st loss by doing well in 2nd or 3rd tourney. anyway, we'll if it works

I have tried to win a ticket to a satellite with a package to the main event of WSOP APAC through BRM during Xmas time, on a private BRM tourney, but unfortunately I didn’t got it. Perhaps, if I did, I would become even more unhappy, because I believe it would be very difficult to get the first prize with that $525 ticket, the competition must have been really tough. Now I have to watch it on the tv, I guess this will be so good that we can count on similar events throughout the next years.
