So, started playing a bit on stars again, after intermittently switching between PKR (where I have good RB / VIP) and stars - where there's actually decent traffic.
Anyway - so I've discovered a bit of a goldmine - in last 3 days I've managed to profit >$400 just playing the $3.75 Hyper 6max satellite SNGs - they're pretty soft and its easy to play 12 tables at once, you literally only start with 10bb so right from lev1 blinds it's shove/fold styles. Easy to play 100games in no time.. So anyway, pretty much killing it playing these..Except - now my whole bloody account is T$!!!
So I have to work out best way to convert it back to real $$
I know on 2+2 the going rate is about 99.7% to sell T$ - so that is definitely a viable option. The alternative (quick way) I think is to play small-edge hyper HU games - the edges in HU Hypers are so small, that if I play a few hundred $1.50 HU Hypers, I should collect pretty close to what I have in T$ back to real $
Anyway - kinda just wanted to say to ya'll - to everyone on here (Retribution!) that kills it on SNGs - seriously, get into the Stars Hyper Satellites ! They're so easy to crush - you can just mass multi table them, so long as you know your shove/fold/call ranges for short-handed play, you can make a killing.. So many people just dont understand the correct ranges for each position at the table for calling/shoving/folding ! It's amazing!
------------ Oh - just managed to bink a 168 runner $10 HU KO MTT, so that got me some real $$ which was good!

nice going, sounds like a nice deal youve got yourself there. not been playing on stars at all recently. to be fair am not playing poker for 2 weeks and focusing on work, need to take a break anyway after a bit of success at christmas so as i woudnt start tilting and donk my winnings away. but when i get back on it il probably be back on PKR as it give me the best chance of getting somwhere in the mtt rankings to make a name for myself lol

Yeah - they're satellite SNGs - so technically what I win is tickets into bigger buyin events - at the moment mostly they're either tickets into sunday events or tickets into the Turbo Tourney champion events. I just wait until the end of the session and hit 'ctrl-R' which brings up a list of everything I'm registered in and then I can tick all the check-boxes and unregistered from all the events in a single click.
But yeah, now a lot of my account is in T$, which is kinda cool anyway, since it means I can't spazz out with it on the ring games, which I am excellent at doing, it does however also mean I can't easily withdraw it!

Are you also using your FPPs to buy-in into satellites? They're also quite easy to boost your T money. I'm in a smaller league but now or then i play one of those 10FPP satellites to a $3.30 tourney and collect the $T got from them also.

Looks like you have just gave the right answer to your question. But you have to know very well what to do in thos hyper HU tables. I mean, you must know because you talk about playing a lot of tables at once, but advising others to also play it is a different thing, people may get uncomfortable for trying it and not reaching the best rate of results like you’re saying. Still, i think I will give it a try on those, just to see how things work, although I am still addicted to zoom.

That is how I originally got on to the idea, I played through about 2000 FPPs play 200fpp satellites, I think the prizes were $11 tickets.. I've got around 500 or so points again now, but I'm going back to ordering random clothing items, got a few t-shirts now, might get a jacket next..

I think they doesnt allow anymore to change the T$ for real $!! Before with a easy search on google you could find loads of people wantiong buying T$ and receiv8ing a little fee for that, now i think stars doesnt allow that!

No, they do. If you open the Stars client, under the "Requests' menu there is a sub-menu for "Trading Tournament Money" which has all the options required.

Yup, you can easily get 97%+ in a matter of seconds/minutes wich is a great way to convert FPPs into real cash. 99,7% is great though, didn't know about that!

Well some months ago i won some money playing these hyper turbos, ands i tryed to exchange the t$ and it wasnt allowed! Even the guy who was buyng me all time didnt answerred my requests! Maybe the open for few months and close for few months, and goes like that all the way!

Yeah no idea man, I've never actually done it.. Not sure what caused that, but it's definitely allowed - because there's functionality for it in the client.

That's kind of the situation I'm in at Carbon with the tournament coupons. You can play a 9 player SnG for $3.00 and capitalize on them by placing in top two. First place is a $33.00 satellite coupon and second is an $11.00 satellite coupon.
You can actually use the $33.00 coupon in three separate $11.00 games in which you can win a $109.00 coupon. It is a good way climb the ladder and usually finishing third place gives you your money back.

Just want to say congratulations and keep up the good work. I know that you can exchange your T$ for real $ on stars but why not just use them to play in other tournaments.

liquidity basically. I'm not interested in building big rolls any more, I've done it before and I KNOW I don't have the discipline to manage them properly, so I rarely keep more than $1,000 or so on a poker site these days, often less. I like to make frequent withdrawals and basically keep my money in my bank, not on a poker site.
So - while I *could* just use the T$ to play through the regular MTT schedule etc, there's no guarantee of return like that - and certainly no definite time frame for withdrawals. So I'm more just reflecting on options that give me a relatively quick / guaranteed return for T$

@jess yeah keeping your money in bank rather then in poker site is way safer (full tilt comes to mind here for no reason at all ) and furthermore you get interest on top of safety. congrats on your good run- seems like you have found you place at stars, you know with all that transition from pkr...

Since there is an option of converting your tournament dollars into real money in Full Tilt it would be weird not to be able to have the same option at Poker Stars. At least now they own both platforms/
