I'm back  0
Hi guys! I'm finally back here on the forum. As I've mentioned in an earlier thread I've got my first flat. Unfortunantly that meant no internet for about 2 weeks. And when I finally got it, there were all kinds of problems. In 2 weeks I reported errors 5 times. I've had three guys from the technical support here to check it out and nothing they've done has worked so tomorrow I'm getting a new modem (which I told them from day 1 that I needed). Hopefully this means that I can start following the forum here again!

I might not be all that active thou. Last month I worked a total of 227,25 hours. I'm just getting called in when I'm needed and apperantly I'm needed a lot. It's great for the economy but I might be to tiered to check out the forum some days. I'm actually thinking about setting a limit of 200 hours per month.

Anyways, it's good to be back here again! Take care guys and I'll see you around the forums! Smile

I am glad you are back ..

After you got burned in this thread you dissapeared..

http://www.bankrollmob.com/forum.asp?mode=thread&id...

At the same time you were opening threads about playing micro's and freerolls and building a Yachting BR from 0 ...
Suddenly you have a "poker winnings account" with $ 7500 on it...
When we ask for proof you give some bs answers and then you dissapear

i think you was hoping this thread would go away if you dont post for a while..

Well i am glad to remind people of it .

People please read the thread and make your own conclusion about it..

Big Smile Cool Thumbs Up

Done, you have it in that thread. And no, I didn't disappear because of that thread. As I said, I've got my own place and didn't have any internet for a wile. It still doesn't work as it should but I get a few bursts of internet connection a few minutes at a time.

I actually just got a text from the company saying that my new modem has arrived at the post office so they were one day faster then the time they gave me so I'll be going there to get it in a few minutes.

And I have to say, it doesn't feel all that good to get back here on the forum and the first thing that happens is that I get a load of crap thrown at me. Kinda makes me wish I didn't came back... Oh well, at least most of the people here aren't complete morons so I'll try to stay calm and don't get wrapped up in any situation. But don't expect me to share my success here again any time soon unless it's something really worthy of talking about.

Damn! When I was your age and think about when I got my first place there wasn't any such thing as the internet. The important things were water, electricity and gas if necessary. Getting a phone was just a bonus. So funny how fast things change in the world today.

Anyway welcome back and Good Luck in the poker games!

Welcome back. In this age, there is really nothing worse than broken internet - well, if we're safely talking about 'first world problems' any how.

About four years I bought a house and was consequentially so poor that we had to do without the internet for eighteen months. Despite looking forward to getting back to reading books etc. I found it a thoroughly horrible experience. Not having Google at my beck and call felt like having half my brain removed, and I had no idea how truly awful TV had become.

Yeah - I haven't had my "TV" plugged in for years, I mean - I used a 40" LCD as a screen for a media PC, but haven't actually received "television broadcasts" for many years, I can only imagine how bad they are.. Occasionally I see some TV at someone else's house and it just blows my mind that people are still watching shows like this: At someone else's choice of time, broken up with advertisements, someone else's choice of show and series and yeah- just the crap that people watch too, presumably because "that is what is on"! Not to mention people still using TV for their source of NEWS !!!

Yep it's a sad paradox that whilst TV's themselves are getting better year by year the content they receive is getting proportionally worse. My 48 inch plasma is now just an over sized computer monitor.

Yes, it's amazing what a few terabytes of HDD and an unlimited internet connection can do for your TV needs haha. Only thing I'm missing on my 'media PC' now is some decent wireless game controllers..

My wife and I talk about this sometimes and find ourselves explaining this to our kids, how when we were in school much of the research we did required going to the library and such, sometimes on a Saturday, in order to prepare reports and do our projects. Now simply go online and gather your information, put it all together and then print or just email it to the teacher. As well, if we are unsure of something, like the other day we were wondering when a certain local event happened, we simply boot up and find the answer.

BTW welcome back Erru!
