who here plays it and can you give any tips, sometimes i think i might be playing to tight and other times i find maybe im to loose, whats a general basic strategy for playin, i see some people who constantly play nothing but queens+ while many people limp a ton, i assume playing speculative hands and tryin to mine some flushes or trips would probably pay off because your usually playing new people every hand, any other suggestions?

also note, im just playing micro limits at the moment, nothing serious yet, just trying to work my way thru the limits til im at 2.5/5$, plus im usually a PLO player so im good postflop and im not afraid of action in NLH

Three words...position, position, position. On the button, I'll usually raise any unraised pot 3X provided there is no more than one limper, regardless of my cards, then always cbet the flop. More often than not it'll get the job done but be prepared to put it down if you don't hit and meet resistance. At this level there are too many unbluffable donks to make bluffing profitable.

Also set mining can be massively profitable.

So far I'm find this consistently profitable. One caveat, all the above applies to 6max it's the only cash rush I play.

On a side note you may find it worthwhile entering a few Rush tournaments. Great for practicing your Rush skills as you'll get to see a load of hands for a small buy-in. That and the feilds at micro are incredibly soft.

Another thought, Gutshot and Terminal Poker both run loads of Rush style free-roll tourneys that are fairly easy to cash in. and again great for practice.

i have to agree with zeroster on the point of entering rush tourneys instead of playing rush cash games- imo you have more action for less cash invested, but if you want to stick with cash games only- then i must say there is no correct strategy, if there was one, everybody would be using it...just try things, make notes, analyze them- and you will see what works and what doesn't

I think i am addicted to zoom. I deposited on PS to play the Xmas freeroll from BRM and i managed to win some more and since then i decided to give it a try on Zoom and i just feel that's my type of game, although i'm not on profit zone by now. My advices to you are:
-don't go on quick folding each time you have a bad hand, remember to play with your position;
-open more than one table so that you can increase your concentration level;
-don't think on doing anything else while you play it;
-close a table when you reach double or at least 75% more than you entered;

I know when I was playing RUSh back when U.S. was able at Fulltilt there's one general fact most accountable. That is, everyone is scrolling until they get a good hand to play. It's not a bad idea to play your suited connectors and small pairs is worth a shot. If you see an A,K or Q on the flop you can pretty much count on someone having a decent hand.

Watch out for the A and any other card though. They'll catch you without a chance! I hate to say it, but I like having sets or a pair to bet to high. Straights and flushes aren't that common in this game, but do occur.

you guys talking about no limit holdem /zoom or plo-omaha/zoom Smile Smile Smile

haha,,2 different things...

i can tell,, and have watched some dudes play on higher stakes ...plo-zoom

last week i sat down next to a dude, i know him from the internetshop where we play poker on sundays....this dude played 4 tables...

his trick?? he constantly played aggresive...whenever the table got passive...he just betted ,,sometimes small,,sometimes bigger...to scare people away...

it was like a moneymachine...he kept collecting dead money...and the times he got called , he also won most of the time...

so i've watched him for about 1,5 hours...and thought,,,ahhaaa

this dude uses same strategy as myself ....but on 4 tables and on high limits...

end of story ,,,i saw him later that night...and i could tell by the look on his face ,,that he had lost
more then he won earlier that night...

i think he went wrong by staying at the tables,untill he walked up to some real hands and lost profit
and his initial bankroll...

best advise....also given in post above ...

you sit with 10$ and make it 25-30 $ ,leave the table ...find another with same stakes and enter again with 10$....repeat this ...and you'll get more comfortable at the tables each time
you accept your profit at a table ...

after a few times...you won't even bother if you suck out once...all you lose is 10$, but if all is correct...you already won a few 10's

at any game ,,one should try to make things easy for himself...

anyway ,,good luck good grinding..

nlh/zoom is a different thing....some players fold everything untill they get A-A or K-K
and try to get all the money in the middle...

one gotta be more carefull at holdem/zoom i think...
but hey, who said poker was easy Smile ?_ Tongue Tongue Tongue Smile

i just did what ur friend did, i was playing a plo rush tourney on that terminal poker gig, first tourney there, i finished 21st out of 247 people lol i bet every street/hand with the very rare fold, i ended up gettin drawn out on though which was unfortunate. i am definately a LAG type player, i make people think im just some regular aggro donk but i bet my hands well and make the tags play worse because they start tryin to hold on for a ride with anything then i show up with one of my flushes/sets and boom haha i stack them... most of the time Thumbs Up

hello,
Rush tournament you need to be very patient and pay alot of attention on the other players at the table and your position.
Yesteraday i had 75 cents in my FT account. Entered with 70 cents the smallest i could enter into a ring game, and i did well i got out with $2.51, then i started playing on rush with $2 , 2/5 cents BB and SM. i did pretty well , i close the tabble when i got $8.75 , then enetered again with $2 and again i closed when i did $4.30 and then played in 5/10 cents with $4 the smallest entry i could. at the end of the day i had a beautifull $26.84 , and with only 70 cents i started. Now i hope to not loose them.
I played tight, only with strong hands and with my position. Btw , i mark the ppls i play, and put them a color so i know how they play, and remember. So i when i see someone i marked at my table i know how to play against them, not 100% , but i know.

You can do this to. make a color for everyting that means to you, so you can remember. For example, i use some color the blue, for ppls that makes me angry, cause they are joker players .... for the fishy i have yellow , for ppls who play fishy, and play idioticaly i have red etc. ...

Have a nice day and GL.

Indead Terminal poker is an interesting pokerroom for rush torneys and freerolls.

Not to much traffic and nice freerolls if you collect enough raked hands.

Now they have several freerolls of 500 euro when you collect 50 raked hands in 48 hours

i just won a terminal poker freeroll, super easy fields for an aggro player, half the tourney is dead money just sittin out, small ball poker works well, most of them fold to a cbet/donkbet 90% of the time lol unforunately i decided hey why not try my luck at the cash table after and lost my 2 euros i got from winnin in just a few orbits lol cash game rush is much different then tourney, i guess cuz the tourney fields are usually much larger so just small constant raises look like big hands to everyone til they have been at my table enough to notice im very aggressive, i plan on makin a little side roll on terminal from just freerolls before i go back to the cash games to learn rush there

i shall name it my Rush Roll lol Dollar Thumbs Up

I started there with a 5 euro bankroll (from BTM in the past)

I started on the cash tables and tried to collect just the 10 raked hands to enter the daily freeroll of 75 euro.
On Sundays there s a 400 euro freeroll if you collect 100 raked hands in a week.

Started with 1 euro at the cash table 0.02/0.05 and wait for strong hands, if there s no action in front of you, call on the button with reasonable strong hands (my aim was to collect my raked hands and hope to hit on the flop)
If you hit monster hands --> raise 4 to 5 BB

In the freerolls --> lots of sitouts , so after 5 to 10 minutes you ll see itrt clear, anuone who has +/- 1500 chips is sitting out --> if they are behind you with no bigger stack behind you , min raise and collect the blinds.

I built up my BR there to 80 euro (mainly from freerolls), haven t played there much the last months due to lack of time and thast I had to clear a bonus on party poker.

But the easiest way to make money on Terminal is the 75 euro freerolls at 20.15

GL
