Does anyone know of a good + free HTML editor?  0
I know several of you mobsters are very adept at things like website management and softwares, and as I will be soon managing the website for my scout troop I was wondering if anybody had some recommendations. Thank you!

I always use HateML + TopStyle Lite for CSS.

HateML is a Polish programm but it has language change.

for raw editing of any code/script it's hard to go past notepad++ as basic editor, it's basically just like regular notepad, but has syntax highliting for many many different languages, plus line numbers and other basic code editing features..

In terms of WYSIWYG editors (What you see is what you get), a quick google search comes up with a LifeHacker page (LH are usually on the ball!):

http://lifehacker.com/5579328/five-best-wysiwyg-html-editors

------------
edit: If you need help with anything more advanced, like scipting or anything, post your code and I can take a look.. I hate web design and HTML/CSS isn't exactly my favourite thing in the world, but I am quite good with ANY code and can generally figure out the logic for most problems pretty quick!

Many years I use Codelobster PHP Edition ( http://www.codelobster.com ) and I am very happy with it Smile

I am currently using Dreamweaver, but it seems to have a problem with sites that have thousands of pages.

The old Netscape browser works pretty well as an editor, though it has a few quirks to it. I used to design with it all the time.

Another option is Frontpage, which used to be very popular.

There are many others if you do a little searching.

Frontpage and Dreamweaver is old fashion today. Smile

Please using sublime text 2. this is the best editor u can dream of but no WYSYYG Smile

If u need to manage thousands of pages , Aptana Studio or Eclipse IDE are the best .

Hey,...I used to be a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout WAAAAAYYY back in the late '60s and early '70s....

'Be Prepared',....and 'Akela',....and all that....

Never was very good at tieing knots though....

Mmmmmmmmmm......I wonder if my Mom still has my Scout uniforms packed away somewhere....

You know,.....if the young guys were required to be Scouts in their formative years,.....maybe society would be a better and more respectfull thing... Thumbs Up
