Hello fellow Poker enthusiasts,

My name is Terrance Browning, I Have been playing on poker for almost 5 years now. I play online poker on a website called +PokerStars and I have never really been too successful. I have only placed in a high stakes tourney once about 2 years back and won $160.00 and placed 7th in the tourney. Lately I have been attempting to play poker a little more strategically using the "bankroll management" theory, I call it a theory because I have yet to prove it.

A couple days ago I was strolling on the +PokerStars "private" section for tournaments when I came across a freeroll tourney website call +BankrollMob. It was at this website where I registered for an account so I can have access to there freeroll passwords. Passwords are released 15 Minutes befor the tourney begins. Each month or two the website pays out to members of the +BankrollMob Leaderboard and you can earn more cash. I have made it a goal of mine to stop spending money for a bankroll and create one for free.

On this Blog I will update my Bankroll on the days that I play poker. I will Provide the information of which tourneys I entered where I got the passwords what place I finished in and how much money I received for the tourney.

GL at the freerolls....

As you can read in other threads learn to deal wit a huge playerfiled with a relative small price.

A lot of gamblers there in the first rounds.... so you will face sevreal bad beats ....

But still I wish you all the best

Good luck at those freerolls but you should know from beginning that those are pretty hard to make money due to large numbers of players that are not members of brm.

Anyways good luck on your quest and make sure to keep this blog/thread updated Big Smile

Hello fellow Poker enthusiasts,

Day two on blogging my bankroll from my +PokerStars account, I'm midway through a couple of freerolls right now, but I have already played in two today. I was doing well in one, until I was all-in with pocket 10's (I had less than 15 BB). I was called by the table chip leader whom had a pair of pocket 7's. The flop drew a seven and my stronger pockets were beat out by a three-of-a-kind. Well, what can you do.

I was waiting for the next freeroll to start up when I decides to join the cash tables with a small portion of my already small bankroll. I bought into the $0.01/$0.02 tables with a mere $1.00. I played about 2 blind rounds until I hit AQs. I played it strong re-raising a raise when the ace hit the flop. I pushed in half my stack where I was re-raised by the pre-checker. I called, he shows AK off. My first dollar gone, not a great start I think to myself. I jump back into another table where I played with $2.00 and played for about 45Min until I was up after aggressive/ loose style. not too many people called my bets. Now, I know I went against bankroll management by playing with $2.00 but I will do my best to stick to the plan from now on.

Finished the day off without placing decent in any freerolls today and didn't earn any extra's.

Current bankroll : $5.91 (+0.72)

Hello fellow Poker enthusiasts,

I took the day off from playing poker yesterday February 14th for numerous reasons.
The clear one being that it was valentines day, so I spent the time that I could with the
girlfriend when I wasn't working. Now I apologize in advance to anyone reading this
blog today and I hope it does not offend anyone in anyway.

So Far today I joined one +BankrollMob freeroll and lost pretty early into the
tournament with pocket Q's to a A6 off-suit he hit a pair or sixes off the flop then hit the ace on the river. I find it very difficult
to win anything in the freeroll tournaments that +PokerStars has to offer online for
there are so many bad players willing to throw all their chips in on nothing. But at
the same time this works out for the better sometimes, just not lately with my last
freeroll win taking place three days back when I first started this blog.

After i lost in this freeroll tournament I got a little discouraged with the freerolls so
I attempted to join two buy in sit&go's for $1.50 each. There were 10 people at each
tournament and 5 places getting paid depending on how many chips they have left.
I only placed in 1 of the 2 tournaments winning $2.71 which means I'm still down
-($0.29)

I watched a couple videos today on +YouTube with +Rocky Daniel Negreanu the
Professional poker player from +PokerStars and got some advice on how to play
headsup style poker. I decided to take what I learned today and bring it to the tables.
Once again i would like to apologize if this next comment. I joined another $1.50
headsup style poker against a player from Russia. (I feel as though poker players
play differently depending on where they live.) This comment is somewhat a
stereotype, but I defiantly respond to bets from people with consideration of where
they live. Russians are very aggressive betters when it comes to poker. With that
into consideration I played my hands accordingly. I won this Tournament to adding
+($1.38) to my bankroll.

When I was in the fifty50 tournaments I was talking about in the first paragraph I lost
one tournament so I joined a Cash table. The blinds were set at [$0.01/$0.02] and I
joined the table with $1.00 and left with ($1.25) only after paying for 2 blinds.
+($0.25)

Alright, I'm done playing poker for the night. I joined 2 more $1.50 fifty50 tournaments and ended up winning first place in both for an accumulated total of +($4.38) profit! Great news for me and if anyone is following!

My current bankroll is (11.63) +(5.72) from my last post

Great job!

Nice project. Bankroll management isn't as much of a theory as it is one of the two most important ingredients for this game to work. Another is, you guessed it, strategy.

Nice goin with the roll so far, if you're capable of multitabing I'd suggest you start playing their $0.25 90-man SnG - same prizepool, less people.
Pokerstars is a big room, so you will find both harcore grinders at the micro levels, as well as a critical mass of idiots, that don't know when to fold. It's alright, as long as they don't suck out Smile

Keep the thread updated, and good luck!

i found when i had a relatively small bankroll just playing the 10 cent 360 man SnG's to be quite enjoyable and semi-profitable if you can call it that, but good luck with your grinding, im also trying to make something out of starting with nothing myself this time around Smile

'Tis nothing but the truth Big Smile

You really don't need more than $10 to grind up a small Broll. In the beggining of this month, that's what I had had, and look at me now - im sitting on a $160 pile of dough. Minus the deposit I made - $64. Big Smile Still something, aint it?
