So after reading a few threads I thought this would be a good subject for my next thread. There are a couple of questions I believe you should be thinking about when making bets, that not all poker players think about in the heat of battle. When making bets you should be asking yourself 2 questions, hopefully with a positive for one or both. 1)Will this bet get a better hand to fold? 2)Will this bet get a worse hand to call? If the answer to either these questions is no, you are not making a very good bet. For example, If there has been a raise, & a re-raise, & you look down at pocket Jacks. I would argue a fold here. I mean most often especailly in tournaments with that kind of action your only other move is to move in. What will moving in get you? Possibbly some fold equity, but I doubt very much. 2 players have already shown they have a strong hand, & are willing to put money in the pot. So let's ask the questions by shoving will you get a better hand to fold(AA,KK,QQ)? Not likely. Will you get a worse hand to call(Too many to list)? Possibbly, but a lot of the hands that will call you will be flipping for your tournament life(AKs,AQs,ect.) Now it's true you may get tens to call, but with two bets, & an all-in a good player is probably folding tens & under. So the next time you're whining about your site being rigged ask yourself did I make a good bet, or did I make a bet that only a better hand will call, & all worse hands fold? If the anwser is yes, you probably need to work on your betting. Until next time mobsters GL on the felt.

early in tournament donk shoves 2 people call and you look at AA or KK you know out of the four of you your 9 times out of 10 getting in with the best hand. Yet time and again online the AA or KK will lose to 10 9, 75 a rag suited cards. So it doesnt matter how your betting online your never ever getting the percentages as you would in a live dealer dealt casino

I must disagree sir. Your problem is your AA or KK are taking on too many hands. The more hands you face, the less value your hand has, even Aces! Which is why it's always a good idea to raise, raise, raise. Will this alwasy get you heads-up(facing one other opponent)? No not always. Will your Aces or Kings still get cracked? Yes most definitely, but thats going to happen. Its the nature of the beast. If you can't handle bad players getting lucky on you, maybe you should try playing chess or something. Poker is probably not your game.

@Wayniac - it seems to me that nl texas holdem is not your game...dunno if you obsessed with it, try fl or open your eyes wider & go for other games- maybe split pot ones, maybe the old classic 5 card draw (with no community cards)...btw the fact that you cannot win a game doesn't mean it's rigged...it might have something to do with u being a sh1tty player
