WTF Is An Ace Anyway.....?  0
I notice tons of Idiots think they have it ALL if they have an Ace. If they have an Ace,....in their peanut brain,...they have the nutzzz,...but REALLY,...their mind is a bowl of mixed nuts...

Doesn't matter what other card they have in their pocket pre-flop,.....they are gonna SHOVE... and the hand will be theirs... lol...

All you need is an ace, and a chair. Big Smile

You forgot about the SOOTS.

Sometimes, I wonder if some of these idiots start jacking offwhenever they get an Ace rag suited as they have obviously clicked on RAISE ANY. Makes you wonder what they're doing that they too busy or distracted at that moment to be able to use their mouse.

an ace is not a bad card.but you have to read the table.if many players call the bet don,t raise with A5 because someone has AJ.
but when you get AK it is highly recomended to make a raise.
good luck

In the last ten years or so, a number of software innovations have come out which allow you to determine the odds of winning hands using combinatorics. And are so many donks out there
Good luck

Sorin888 can you tell us more about this combinatorics please ty. It sounds interesting Smile

Ax type hands, suited or not, are the best hand when noone connects with the flop - all the way to the river, so kinda hard, but possible.

It's got some extra value cozz you're at least A-high on the river, and aginst some, this might be enough to win sometimes. Don't expect to win if you encounter resistamce, though Smile

In addition, one must have avery good read on someone, before he/she can play the hand profitably. Other than that, standard thought process of a newbie: "I've got pair of 4s with A kicker. Even if he's got bigger pair on the flop, I can stil spike that A on river. It's pokerstars, ace always comes" //call allin shove on the flop and crack KQ two pair of a regular//

I know what your talking about. I know I've folded as many Aces carrying a 2 to 9 as any bad hand. There are times to play these hands, but not everytime you have an A. I see the donks playing like this get beatout all the time. There's some strategy that goes along with knowing how and when to play some of these Ace rag hands, but it's not every time one gets an Ace.

Value of Ace hands also go up when shorthanded. In heads up game for example, ill raise/3bet any suited ace, and do the same with A6+ offsuit..

LOL...Thisis one of those Poker ettiquette situations. Lots ofplayers who dont really know the rules, play the odds........ not the true poker playing odds, but the simple odds that suggest that an Ace stands a pretty goo chance of holding up against any other two cards so its worth a shot.

At least these players choose to do so with an Ace. I wonder what would you say about all these
who play exactly the same with lower cards like K and Q.
Especially with any K suited Smile

As a general rule you are right mate, shoving with just an ace is stupid, but there are times in a tournament where you have nothing to lose and going all in with an ace is the last thing you can do.

The sad part is that i also saw on cash games people that play the same when they have an ace Shock

I've had a few times when it's been heads up with some idiot where I've had maybe king high or queen high (basically nothing),....where there's a flush draw or straight draw, or a pair by the river card, and I've had nothing, but decided to bluff with a huge raise or all in on the river card, thinking the guy had nothing....

Well, I was right,....the idiot calls with NOTHING!!!....not even a lousy bluff catcher pair of 2s,...the guy chased crap all the way to the river,.... never hit,...had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!.....and in the face of all the flush or straight draws or possible trips,...or even a full house,......calls and wins with ONLY Ace high.....and either destroys my stack or knocks me out....

Man,....where do these complete IDIOTS come from....?!!!???

so true, to win against the idiots you must play like an idiot. the best advise that I have got about poker is learning to play your position

Yeah, this is a common thing amongst beginners to the game. The most annoying part is that they most of the times luck out and actually takes down the pot, even against a hand that dominates their own. I fell victim to that earlier tonight. I qualified into a tournament where top 5 got a ticket to any $54 tournament. I was sitting in 4th and the guy in 1st raised all-in preflop when I got dealt AA. I of course call this and he flips over A5. Flop comes A85, turn 5, river 5. I got kicked out in 11th place out of just over 150 entrants. This really pissed me off!

Lol. this happened to me tonight. was in a $1.10 $2.5k guaranteed on stars was down to 400 and odd from a few thousand. i had an above average stack.
this guy limps from EP (blinds were 400/800) i raise from cutoff to 2200 with AQd. low flop so we both check turn is j he bets small so i re-raise, he calls and the river K is checked. he shows A6 os and wins with a pair of 6's he hit on the flop lol. i ended up with 14bigs and was out soon after.

some people just make you wonder how they lasted so long. Angry

------------
oh the winner will get over $500. i ended up getting $2.11 lmao. so sick

When you have one or two of these players on your table, it's easy mony but when there are three or more each hand usually becomes a multi player all-in before the flop. The best thing to do in that situation is tighten up and only play premium hands.
