Tournaments or cash games?  0
Hey guys,

This is a survey about what you are playing most: tournaments or cash games?
In which one do you think there is more potential to win big money as fast as possible?

I am more a fan of tournaments, with high amount of players and guaranteed prizes. I prefer turbo's, so that the tournaments end after maximum 4 hours and you're not spending all your day on it.
If you are really at the top of your game, you can reach final table and win lots of . Dollar
Cash games I like to play just to earn faster points from the site (to clear bonuses, exchange points for tournaments etc.).

Hello,

In tourneys ussualy you need to be at the final table to get some real money ... and tbh its not so easy. in cash games, like rush poker/Zoom , if you play only with cards you can win ... then in no time you can make alot of money... but also you can lose. and in SNG its same thing. to get some cash you need to be at the final table or in top5+.

I play small buy-in ( 1$ , $1.10 , i didnt play until now in tourneys with bigger buy-in ) tourneys and Rush poker on FT.

Have a nice evening and GL.

Hey Smile

Yeah it's not always easy to get into the final table, but with experience comes wisdom.
I don't like that much the rush poker because you don't get to know your opponents. Sometimes it's very profitable if you can spot the fish on the table.

GL mate.

With tournaments, it's better to avoid turbos as the blinds go up to quickly so skill becomes less important and luck more important. You also have to practice think more about pot control in tournaments.

It's true that skill becomes a less important factor but the question remains where the boundary is between turbo and non-turbo (in units of time). Eventually you can also play with no rise up of the blinds and keep playing a tourney for days. Big Smile
I think turbo (certainly not hyper-turbo) is the right tournament to play on, if you're not a pro and can't afford playing poker all day, since skill is still the leading factor (related to luck).

i usually like to play cash games, any kinda really, i mix up the game types a lot to keep me fresh but occaisionally ill play a big hold em MTT with a large gtd prize just for laughs, i started off grinding them but ive observed a love much more for cash games as of recent, it seems to be more gratifying seeing instant profit/loses and gives me motivation to play better because ill notice the changes right away Thumbs Up Dollar Cool

Good day everyone Smile
I would prefer cash games rather than mtts !! i also do play 1 table sng's or 3 table ie 6 max table sng's ...at the start i preferred the mtts a lot over the cash games ... but gradually i moved to cash games ... i feel more comfortable and good at the cash games .. diff people have diff strategies and plays it's upto you to decide which you really want to concentrate more on !!

Good luck at the tables Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

G'day mate

I play both cash games and Mtt's.
I like cash games for earning a lot of Vpp's/Fpp's on poker sites.
I like Mtt's simply because tey are large tournaments with fixed amounts of money on the line from my personal bankroll. I like knowing I can not lose more than my buy in but have a chance at earning a lot of cash. Smile

be cool and best of luck.
