I have just been reading some old threads about people being banned because there rascist etc. I dont believe any one should be banned from poker because of there beliefes. POLITICAL AND RELIGIOUS THOUGHTS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH POKER. if I am wrong maybe I can get people banned for being left wing, right wing, liberal (these first lol). Maybe I can ban people who jewish, muslim christain, hindu who go to the wrong synogogue, church, mosque, or temple.

Racists use democracy as an argument for having free speech Most of the times they offend a group of people deliberately because of hate and prejudice.

I hate the phrase "political correctness" and the absoulte pricks who use it. It's almost always used in the negative way of rubbishing any rule or view that the user doesn't agree with or thinks is too heavy handed. For example, "you can't beat your kids anymore, it's political correctness gone mad!" or "the PC brigade are so against offending muslims they are banning the word Christmas". Usually it's a huge over reaction to some news taken out of context. Sometimes it's used by a minority to undermine a popular opinion or logical view and lump them altogether with the other nonsense. And when some council genuinely dreams up some idiotic measure or a school stupidly oversteps the mark between caution and lunacy, the news jumps on the bandwagon spreading the problem that we cannot differentiate between good sensible rules and the idiotic ideas of some out-of-touch overpaid clueless think tank. It's not political correctness in the forum. BRM are a business. It's quite simple. They have forum rules that have been broken. They do not want to risk offending members/potential customers so racist abuse, bullying, pornographic images and offensive imagery is not allowed. It's their forum so it's within their right to make this rule. (Even the most offensive open-speech forums on the internet have rules against racism and hate speech). Having said that, I generally find admin is very liberal. From time to time, there are sensitive/controversial subjects such as religion and politics. There are plenty of sexy images that pop up and a lot of strong language but mostly people here are not easily offended, we are all (mostly) free-thinking adults and admin turns a blind eye. But when any member has been cautioned, I have never seen them banned for a first offense. Everyone has a second chance but I believe that the forum members you are referring to, whilst often popular in the forum, repeatedly broke rules and just kept on posting offensive content, for which they were deservedly banned, for the sheer lack of respect for this site.

I totally agree with what you say but I will also say that sometimes Political Correctness is used to force opinions upon us. This is how governments work, therefore persons cannot form an opinion which is not "popular". This really pees me off. So, I can imagine that some people very frustrated with it.

I definitely don't agree with the OP and I'm far from racist but i do hate the fact that the word "Christmas" gets banned incase it offends anyone. I mean it's a Christian holiday observed in countries that are predominantly Christian. I wouldn't expect Muslims to not say Ramadan or Eid. Or Jews not to say Hanukka. How would someone be offended by it anyway? Its stupid. And the fact that in Britain in some places your not allowed to fly the union jack incase THAT offends people I mean, what a load of sh!t. Some sh!t just baffles me. Crazy!

Defo Tony.
In my area you cannot fly a Uk or English flag, yet there is a neighbour of my who flys a LFC flag and a Morroccan out of two ajoining windows. During the local or national elections I am often tempted to hang out a Union Jack, but the missus worries too much.
The trouble with this country is that we are not allowed to voice our opinions, (Don't know if that is the case worldwide), and if we don't agree with the government we are treated as periars. People say vote them out but the situation has gone too far for that as all parties, (mainstream ones), are of the same opinion.
Hey enough of that rant..................

completely agree with you and awood88 very very well put i was gonna go on a rant very similar but seems you covered it haha. the whole christmas thing is absolutely ludicrousness the idea of wishing someone a merry christmas around the holidays is suppose to be a harmless way of holiday greeting why people take offence to being wished something like that just because they donot celebrate christmas... i dont celebrate Hanukkah but if one who does says happy Hanukkah to me i always return the gesture i wouldn't be like "f**k you bich i aint jewish i celbrate christmas DOUCHE BAG!!!! " LMFAO LUDICROUS
