Rest in peace Jerry. Another bad news for LA Lakers which already have the worse season since I can remember.I stil cannot believe how they are almost out of playoff games.Poker lost a very good man and so NBA an iconic figure for more then 30 years

He was owning LA Lakers during Magic Johnson’s time, those must have been great times for this man, outside the tables and also at them, as he probably was moving with a lot of money on both sides. We now tend to hear a lot about young stars that other big names from the Poker b.o. (before online) time like this tend to be forgotten…

RIP. I always loved watching jerry at the tables. He defiantly has a lot of memorable events in his life time. like when he won his 10th bracelet. I'm sure he will be missed by many.

80 is quite good but we all expect to live forever./......... I will give $100 to a Pochui style home game for mobsters if I make 80. I wont forget and I will keep to my word....by then though $100 will be worth about 37c so it wont be that bad!

To the general public he was Dr. Jerry Buss; the owner of the LA Lakers and the man who helped transform the basketball industry.
However, to the poker community he was the WSOP stalwart who gave the likes of Doyle Brunson and Phil Hellmuth a hard time on shows such as High Stakes Poker.
RIP

Rest in peace Dr Buss the world has lost a great icon for sports all over. I almost made a thread about this the other day. Glad to see there is one. Maybe I'll come back & post a youtube vid of one of his visits to high stakes poker. He lived a long & full life. I heard he liked pretty girls. I think we would've gotten along well. Smile

RIP Jerry, frankly i heard about him not on the poker world, only about lakers...

From what i know he really was on the first people that made the basketball so huge in US tranforming it in a industry, not just a sport.
