Some of the members here on the forum have blogs, they start them with good intentions only to see pile of sh1t dumped into them by some boneheads. Not that it matter to me a lot, but i think it would be a good thing to have the ability to moderate the blog. I mean anywhere you look, the blog owner has a chance to block the comments/ edit or remove them, in order to keep his blog clean. i think this option would be very nice to have. would like to hear your opinion on the subject.

Couldn't agree more and hope admin sees your point also. Starting to annoy the crap out of me going to read some recent addition to a blog just to see it was the brain fart of a internet troll somewhere . Some members here really seem to enjoy ruining others fun. That would put an end to it.

It doesnt sound bad, but if you consider the history of some threads in here, it may turn really ugly, if users have this right. At least now there is a middle line for all, with only one person putting the limits.

first of all i suggest only granting this right to blog owners & solely for moderating his blog, not every thread u see in the forum. secondly- i don't see how removing sh1tty comment/ other crap to keep the blog clean may turn ugly...ahh right maybe boneheads turn really mad at you and visit you personally to teach a lesson at karate...

Okay as an example, imagine I had a problem with you or just wanted to troll you or piss you off. If I had a blog only I could edit I could say anything I wanted about you and deny you any right to reply.
That said I think the positives outweigh this one negative though.

Yeah and then we get two threads full of flaming instead of one. It's the only downside I can see though so yeah I think it's a good idea.

I was talking about the same thing exactly, for your "own" blogs, which are a part of this forum. And i said this, cause not every person has the same tolerance or principals. So someone may start removing every single comment from a person that dislikes here in forum, no matter what that person is saying. And then the "admin lawyer" will be summoned again

The thing is, these forums aren't "blogs". It's one thing to start a progress tracking thread, but an entirely different thing when you see 100 people posting "blogs" about some random s**t most people don't care about. TBH all these "blogs" are spammy and don't really belong in these forums. I'd even go so far as to say some of them are just started for points/post counts.
There's a lot of actual blog options that require 0 setup, like blogger.com. If people want to blog, I'd suggest they take that road, and link it here, rather than spam the forums with a bunch of non-sense.

Nice one Retribution!!! I totally agree with you, some of the posts on here are totally irrelevant - especially the ones that just post some news that they have found on the net and copy to hear to gain points - bleedin idiots!!

Well I must admit I do like your Idea on this one. I would love to be able to delete or edit post in my own thread as a moderator. I would then really be motivated to keep things moving forward

I also think that it would be a good idea. Luckily while I had my blog going nobody spammed it or got too far off topic, but some of the other blogs have had portions that really seemed to go nowhere. I know that if it was my blog being hijacked I would want to have some amount of control.

thanks everyone for responses. glad most of you think it's a good idea. well since there is no response from admin- i think it's actually a clear response in itself. dunno is it technically hard or not to implement this idea in practice, so maybe i'm asking for too much.
