I love donks. I love fishes.  0
And no I'm not into animals.
It's clearly about those poker players who play absolutely ridiculous poker, which makes me laugh.
Those who think poker is a luck game, that it only depends on the cards.
Those who tend to bluff so often, over-exaggerate their hand, so that I can make a profit.

And no I'm not getting furious at them when I have a bad beat. I'm just continuing to play to get my money back and all their bankroll. And laugh.

If you do too, like those donks, and look for them on the table, it means you understand poker.
It means you understand how you can eventually win as much as possible, by concentrating on them. Dollar

G'night guys

Great post Thumbs Up I totally agree but it's the ones who hit and run that piss me off.
You know the ones. Who totally suck out on you and before you have the chance to say "you lucky f....." There off, never to be seen again lol.

They'll always be the idiot players with the idiot comments who think it's cute, but there are some who don't know any better. They actually think they're good and feel they taken the bad beat when they never make the final table due to their reckless play.

One thing I learned last weekend! There's not near these type of individuals at the live tables and although I didn't win big, I had a great time with lessons taken in.

Myself,....I don't play like an idiot,...or like a Bingo Queen,...but I have come to realize a great tactic that seems to work well for me....

...and that is,....give the impression that you are a stumbling, bumbling and indecisive fool... It works for a while until SOME folks figure you out,...hopefully the tables switch before TOO long...

It seems that some folks right off the bat get the impression I'm a fool simply because of my avatar pic... Many have commented at the tables....

...but Ol' Beaker is a LITTLE smarter than he looks.... lol...

That's basic image management. Sometimes, you get a run a good cards and you can use that to build an image of an over aggressive player. Other times when the cards aren't running so hot you can build an image of being too tight and passive. You work with what is available.

Of course this only works with opponents have at least a glimmer of a clue in the first place and that's not always true. In fact people playing like donks it's almost never true the rare exception being the very good player taking advantage of a situation to build a table image.

Totally agree with you, donks and fishes are great to make money.
Bad beats happen, they are part of the game, its the long run which is important.
Btw, which games are you playing ?

Well i think the image you have is not important when you face donks, bingo queens, ...

as these players will not look at the way their opponents play (tight or aggressive)

I think only players with some pokerskill will try to observe how their opponents play...

and as they try to do this they will see through a avatar

Yeah I don't think table image matters at low level because donks just don't pay attension! I mean I have been in lots of situations where I haven't played a hand in say 3 or 4 orbits and the 1st time I raise I get 2 or 3 callers and end up losing to some garbage.

There’s always a tendency to think this way when things run on our side, the truth is that don’t happen always, and it seems that when it runs bad to our side against fish, it’s always on bigger pots, big enough to make our mind blow thinking how was it possible for someone to be such a donk to be playing with such stupid hand that ended up giving him (the donk) the victory and the big pot. Hope you don’t get to feel this that I just expressed too many times…

That's right guys,.....logic and reason all goes RIGHT OUT the window when bingo queens and donks get involved.....

I wonder if in all his wisdom and logic, that even Spock would be befuddled by all them idiots...? lol...

very hard to play with donks and fishes.you can have a high pocket pair make a raise and some of those players will call you.then they call your bets with one pair and hit another one pair on river...
and you like wtfk... why he called with one low pair.? Aww crap! it is not very easy to play with them

The thing is that they get lucky some times with your play they take your money and doubtful
if you are gonna see them again.
I have tagged many of them with notes, but seeing them again is very rare.

Yeah yeah, I get it, sometimes it's hard to play with donks, because you can't always put them on a hand.
But there are many kind of donks. And it all depends on the situation.
It's up to you to decide where and when you want to play.
It's up to you to find the right spots.

And sometimes have the courage to lay down a big pocket pair.
Part of the game, deal with it...

Ty Bluettooth1 and MIG014 Thumbs Up
I play small stackes for now, 0.02/0.05 nl holdem, because I currently play on 1 pokersite only (Yachting) where I have around 60 euro.
But normally I played a lot of 0.10/0.25 omaha pot-limit on regular basis on PS, and most of the times tournaments and s&go

Well it obviously worked with the other 5 or 6 players. If you had actually read my post you would have seen I mentioned that the donks and bingo queens aren't aware of image management. However if you are aware of you current table image it will help you to separate the skilled players from the noobs, fish, donks and bingo queens.
