Hello everyone,
Some days ago my computer crushed. I started using a tablet with Android software. I realised that it is not so easy to get poker apps from known poker websites.
Actually, as for now the only one i found is pokerstars...
I have read that there used to be fult tilt poker app too, but it is not available any more.

888 has android app, you can only play sng and cash. You cannot play tourny's and I like to play the super turbo sng's which you can not play either just regular, so not that great if you ask me unless your a cash game player, stars app is better
Try sending your poker site an email asking about available apps for their site. If enough of their customers do that they might get the message that maybe hey should get someone to build an app for them to keep their customers happy. Stranger things have happened even if takes while for them to become aware of the clue sticks whacking themselves upside their head.

Indeed, not too many sites offer android apps or ios apps for that matter...
The only sites that i know of is pokerstars(i never played, just installed it) and 888poker where i played. Unfortunately on 888 you can only play holdem on the app, they do not offer PLO.
Playing poker from a smartphone is still rather new so the options are still somewhat thin. I think that will change rather quickly though. Personally, I'd rather wait for the poker sites to get it right than to rush out flawed software that is vulnerable to exploits and hacking.

I dont see any future on these apps. Probably a waste of money for most companies to develop a software. I doubt serious players would ever play poker constantly from a tablet. So actually they are not losing anything without having such an app.

PartyPoker has a good android poker app, with full features in cash games. Some restriction is that you cannot deposit or cash out and some types of games are not available Also Pokerstars has gone mobile, with a very good app with full features. It's really fun, when you want to relax and play lying on your bed, or in outside areas, something that you can't do with your laptop. Ithink you'll like it

Why can't you do this with a laptop? I've got a mini-laptop which I can bring anywhere I'd want. So with my laptop it is surely possible. Even with the bigger ones you could play outside (if your up to it). Unfortunately, there is still the third factor - the weather. Which SUCKS in Belgium right now. So no tablet and no laptop outside

Rafiko, that is also a option too if you talk about a house environment...
But i played cash game poker on 888 on my phone many times when i was not home and in places in where an laptop or tablet would have not been so accesible.

Perhaps because as he stated in the first post his computer crashed! A laptop also doesn't fir into a pocket very well and there will be times when a laptop or tablet isn't available but you can almost always have a smartphone with you.

@Macubaas, @Zen yeah, after all that's what the real meaning of "MOBILE" is about. Play everywhere, when you feel like you want a good poker game. Sometimes you haven't planned for a game, but some free time comes up from nowhere and when a smartphone is handy you're up and running a poker game in no time. Personally i prefer lying on my back and play mobile games, and if one of them is poker, it feels great and relaxing

I also know about pokerrstaars and 888poker apps. Too bad that you cant play tournaments on 888 i only play tourneys there... and ps mobile app is just perfect. Only one thing which i miss there is history of hands but I know I want to much...
Ft app would be great I hope they will make some soon.
It may take a while but I think that the functionality of the apps just keep getting better and better. If you want to give them a little nudge now and then try sending them an email from time to time asking about the availability of a mobile app for smartphones.

I have only PS app, but it never crashed to me, works perfectly. And its definitively not app to play pokeer only through it, its just chance to not miss tournament when you are late, or on the way home... Or I use it to play from my bed late night sometimes
