rather unusual for me but beaten twice by straight flushes today ... first time i had A,k of hearts lad wins on river when i hit what i thought was the nuts ... With my A high flush ... he must not have realised what he hit as i bet into him and he flat called in the cash game ... i would have lost the lot if he had reraised ... and just now in a omaha hi lo mtt i hit a full house only for lad to hit straight flush ... he did re raise me all in and i called and lost lol

THAT,....is a BIG BUMMER!!!
I've had THAT happen a few times in the past! OUCH!!!
Also in the last few days I've had a few straight flushes.... The first one a few days ago, I folded my hand realizing that a SF was possible,...but the board was TOO chancey. If I'd have called,...I would have hit it,...
Same scenario happened again last night,...the situation was right,...so I shoved,...about 3 or 4 folks called,...and I cleaned house....
In the last few years playing between 10 and 20 games per day,...I've had a Royal Flush ONLY 3 or 4 times.... Very rare them RFs so it seems...

well lucky for you he did not raise (really a rookie) , not reraising when you have the nuts, when you have the nuts you just hope your opponent raises.
Well in omaha str flushes are more seen than in HE, so if you have a flush ace-high, always check if a str flush is possible before going crazy...
