Question on Ring Games....  0
...simple question,..... WHAT is a ring game...?

I know some of you can't believe some of the questions I ask,...but as I've admitted before,...when it comes to poker terminology,...I'm as dumb as a fence post...! Big Smile

They ALL look like rings to me,... People sit around in a circle at a table, and play poker...!?!?

What's the difference between those and tournaments or sit and goes...?

Any particular advantage to loading up your bankroll...?

Please explain.

Also,...I see in FT that I have a $2 something-or-other in my ticket balance thing,...but games are varying in buy in... What's going on there,...do you just use up the $2 in how many games you can get out of it...

Do you win money or T$ or both....

Thanks! Smile

A ring game is a cash game. It is that simple.

Yuo just sit down with whatever cash you have (as long as between table min-max) and play, then leave whenever you want)

Ring game is a cash game like IceQueenAce says above. The thing with those ring game tickets in FT is that u can enter any cash game table and will be credited money up to the value of the ticket itself ( in ur case $2)
Keep in mind that the ticket is only worth $2 ever so if u go above that, lets say $5, u can exit the table and will still have your $2 ring game ticket plus $3 real money credited to your account. That value is then yours to use however you want.

A ring game is a cash game. You enter with cash, you play with cash instead of chips, and you can leave the action whenever you want. The blinds will always be the same, no matter how long you keep at the table. There's no winner or lose, the winner is the one who wins money at one of the hands, the lose is the one who risks it all and lost. Meaning you can enter, play one hand, win, and leave the table, the same applies to enter, lose the first hand, feeling affraid to keep there and leave so that you don't lose more.

Thanks for all the info guys!!!! ...and gal....!!! lol...can't forget her....

Okay,....so I bought into this $2 ring game and got seated with $2 cash.....a few hands later I have $5.02,...which is rather nice.... Big Smile

I have a question,.....

1) Is there a way to turn up the volume of the beepers and buzzers on a Full Tilt table.... unlike the PS tables,...I can't hear them warning me it's my turn when I'm standing just outside the door having a few puffs on my cig....

Hey,...I'm REALLY liking these ring things....lol... A nice change from the ol' tournament thing...

Okay,...so I sat in on a 6 player 05c/.10c,...played for about 10 or 12 minutes,...

My total upon leaving was $7.29. I see in my account that I still have the $2 tic as you mentioned,...but ALSO $5.29 in REAL cash.... Smile ME LIKEY!!!

Thanks my man!

Do the blinds eat your chips if you sit out in these ring games...?

I believe you can set up indeed the volume of the alerts from ftp from the settings Blink

Still, i simply prefer to control the volume on speakers directly, i think it;s easier this way.
