Hi everyone,
I have question. I play a lot of MTT's (full ring) on Micro stakes. One of the things I was taught is that whens stealing blinds, I should also check the 3 bet % of the SB and/or BB. This makes sense of course, but what is considered a high and low % ? is 5% a lot? 10? 20? At this moment I do not have any reference so I find it difficult to use this in my decisions.

I think anything over around 4% is high actually. But 3bet % is only part of the equation. You want to look at the gap between their VPIP vs their raise range. If they are 22/6, then this means they tend to limp a LOT more than they raise. Using this, you can pretty easily range them when they do raise.
3bet range is a pretty good indication of their hand strength though. It pretty much directly translates into the top range of hands. So if they only 3bet 2%, this means they are pretty much only 3betting AA, KK, AK and MAYBE QQ.
If they 3bet more than 5% then they are pretty loose and aggressive, which does make it somewhat harder to apply a range on them. But again, you need to consider what their other stats mean as well.

I'm glad I hooked up here at this site and started paying attention to the various discussions because up until now I've just been flying blind going on gut feeling about what folks will do at the tables...
Done pretty good to this point I guess, but honing some skills will get a guy a LOT further...
There's a lot more to poker than what it looks like on the surface....
