That is in no way the "SAME thing almost". The op is describing a hand late in the tournament at a point where you would not expect donks to still be around, you do not expect those donk calls in the bottom 1%. The first hand in any low buy-in mtt you should be prepared for donks to get lucky. Plus it's not all in preflop and it's even possible that a flush draw wasn't so far behind. Just cos it's the same two hands does not make it the same. Not even close.

Having said that, there could be a number of reasons for the odd donk call in the first post. Boredom I would guess. A long tournament, probably with not very big prizes even though it's already itm, players tend to tighten up and it gets frustrating for the aggressive donks. A big stack might want to start riding his luck and push two live cards. That's not to say it was a justified call in any shape or form. It could even be a misclick.

Just wow, and this was a paid tournament not a freeroll Shock Shock

It seems that for some no matter the limit is they simply play like donks and get away with it.

To make it worse i went and checked him on sharkskope. He finished 6th for a profit of $247 Shock

TBH it could have easily been a misclick, I have done it on occasions. Would be the most likely reason in that situation

My friends....... thats Poker! Your hand was only a winning hand until the flop, then it was beaten. This is the problem of shoving all in after someone already has; which most players dont seem to appreciate. There are no guarantees that your measly 2to1 favourite hand was going to hold out... indeed, it is arguably a bad call on your behalf to risk your tourney all in at this stage without a huge pair...which would still have lost, but would have been a more acceptable shout!

Here lately I feel there's so much donk crap going on at Carbon Poker I'm just about ready to give poker a break. I mean anything for a buyin at $3.30 or less it's constantly players calling allin with nothing. And, any Ace flies to be the best hand it most players eyes at Carbon.

I've had the poop kicked out of me for the last 10 sessions and always losing to some 7,4 of spades or an A,4 or 6. It's rediculous at this point. I enjoyed a $5.50 game the other day. Although I didn't place I beat myself playing an A,10. Out of nearly 1000 players I made it within 10 of payout and some donk with over 100K in chips calls with K,9 and hits flush.

G'day mate

Well the idiot did not care about the idea of losing at all.
Might have been a idiot cheat playing multiple accounts.
Sorry you got raped by a moronic donk mate but it happens to us all every damn day.

better luck next time.

Yeah,...I guess my comparison WAS a little off,...hehe

I guess what I was meaning to say,....strong pocket, decent flop,....carefree idiot playing to win with JUNK...

...and the same resulting frustration with an IDIOT...

...."RAPED".....??? Really,....feels like it sometimes I guess,....but I've never been used as 'currency' in jail before.... lol...

Agree with awood here

Still strange call here in such a late stage at a MTT. even if he was lowstack and his steal was caught and he had not much chips left it would be unusual play.

So in my opinions it s a misclick or he was tired and gambled (all or nothing)

Hi Guys, To earn my 10 mob points I will try to address this, some people get to a point and lose all patience, for some it is one or two hands into a tournament for others as soon as they get tired, for others as soon as they are less than average stack they feel that pressure, these people are not good poker players, unfortunately their donkey styles affect good players playing the right cards, I kind of agree with some of the previous posts, if the guy was busy donking and getting lucky do not push back until you have 90% of the hand, IE see the flop as cheap as possible then decide on the next action, including folding close to the nuts, sucks I know, but to increase those % in the right situations especially near the sharp end requires, at some stages, becoming ultra tight when and if you have a couple of donkey ballers at the table. Some, as soon as they reach a level of $$ return or they have met their target $$ go nuts, they may then calm back down, not always tho, it seems you met one of those awful gonads at the wrong time, happens to us all at one time or another, best to make a note on him for the next time you meet him and then blow him off the table when you have the nuts and tell him he was a fool before and that he still is a fool, satisfaction and justice served up on a plate, may never happen but hey may happen too.

Finally (after the longest ever paragraph, lol), Do not let it affect your overall game.

GL on the felt, see you all in The Rigged Place home game.

With so many poker players there is no doubt that you will bump on
someone playing like this.
And the funny thing is his finishing position in the specific tournament
