How long does a post have to be? The terms state that, in order to get points off a forum post, at cannot be too short. But it does not say how many characters it needs to have for a minimum. Does anyone know this? I mean, I can expiriment with it, but that will take me too much time, and I am lazy

Hm, that is an interesting question. I think, your post is long enough to receive the points. But, definately it is better to win a poker tournament, I think. It is easier.

G'day mate
Well I remember reading once in another thread that in order to get points from a forum post the there was a minimum amount of characters which one had to use to qualify for the 10 points. I think someone said the 100 characters was a nice round number but I just make sure my post have at least 4 lines of text and then sigh my name. It seems to work out fine.

LOL Peter7878, You got a good point there too. I was just asking because I noticed how sometimes the mob points are not rewarded eve though I personally believe it is a good, serious post. Whatever admininstrator is saying today, it goes in one ear, and goes out ther other lol

PokerDon,
Good, serious posts can be as short as "Yes" (like if somebody asks you to marry them, although that hasn't happened in here, yet). The minimum length (whatever it is, cause I honesty don't remember what I put it at), has not changed in a few years, I think it was increased a couple of times after we started rewarding MobPoints for posts, because people were taking too much advantage of it.
Nowadays we don't get that many questions about it, because it's "just there". It pays if it does and doesn't if it doesn't.

Long enough to get the job done. For example, a flag post needs to be longer than a post you'll put in your garden to prop up your tomato plants, but in all instances make sure you put enough of it below ground so that it stays upright, otherwise it will topple over.

If you have to ask how long a post has to be, in order to get points, then you aren't posting for the right reasons. We see far too many:
Omg hai gaiz, I haz nothing intelligunt to sayz, but I'm gunna post crap in hopes of getting points"
Type threads as it is.
Just try and add something intelligent, and if it's long enough, you'll get points.
YKnow, we see so many of these posts, I want to lay out the math for everyone:
If each post you make ALWAYS gets you 10 points, then the max points you can get is 50 per day.
If you post 5 times a day, it would take you 100 days to get enough to withdraw. Is it REALLY worth spamming the forums with useless s**t, possibly killing the forums? I don't think so.

To be or not be. That is the question.
The purists approach is that posts need to (and quietly rightly so) be of sufficient quality to be worthy of reward.
The satanist, would determine that a post is a post and should be rewarded whatever so that they can make as much money from BRM without too much effort or contribution.
The outcome, whichever way we decide to look at the very generous offering from BRM, is that BRM rewards forum posters. Some forum posters take advantage and others contribute to the growth of poker skills amongst Mobsters........
As for Poker Don, who posted this original thread, I guess he feel pretty vilified about the whole thing and would happily surrender the 10 points he got for his post if only he could take his question back.

Posted by IceQueenAce: I actually think it IS worth posting that much. It is effectively $175 a year added to a bankroll and that is a lot of buyins to low buyin games.
That said, I rarely make 50 a day because there are so few good posts worth replying to
When people cashout, we always check where the points come from, if it's 100% forum, then you need a lot of luck to be approved for cashout. If you have made most of your points from the forum and you've been a good contributor to the community, you'll probably be okay.
