The series takes place between April 4 and 15 at the Crown Casino, Melbourne. The WSOP APAC features a 6-max, Omaha, and Mixed Event, as well as the AUD$10,000 Main Event starting on April 11. Perhaps the most intriguing event of all, however, is the opening event. The AUD$1,100 Accumulator features three starting days and entrants can enter all three to combine their Day 1 chip counts together for Day 2.

The format of the Accumulator is new to the WSOP. There are three starting days and players are welcome to play all three. All of their end of day one stacks will all be added together on day two, meaning there is potential to build some huge stacks. This accumulator idea is really good, in some way it's somewhere close to the multi-entry tournaments that are online but with one exception of course.
I like the concept but i think the multi entry tournaments online are a much better idea overall.

329 players entered the Accumulator in day 1A and because of the format it was no surprise that a similar number entered in day 1B, 337 in fact, making for 666 entries overall heading into day 1C tomorrow. Lots of big names fell on day 1B including Greg Merson, Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth, but they all have a chance to come back for a third shot in day 1C.

1,085 entries in total over the three days, creating a prize pool of AUD $1,085,000 and a first prize of AUD $211,575, with 90 players in total making the money. The l winners of the starting days were 1A and 1B leaders Dan Kelly and Antoine Saout, who both added to their big stacks on Day 1C, as per the Accumulator format, to go into Day 2 with huge leads.
