the conflict in North Korea  0
Hello everyone,

In the last few weeks we see every day in the news or read every day in the newspaper something about Kim Jong-un and what he does in North Korea. Until now I didn't saw a thread about politics in this forum and I would like to know what you think about this conflict and how it will go on. Just tell your opinion.

Question

The US is basically giving the middle finger to NK, because they figure they don't have the resources to launch an attack. That's kind of like taunting a big angry dog and counting on its leash not breaking.

I think the US is being supremely stupid about the situation. They have no sure way of telling if NK could launch an attack, and there's always the chance that they could end up doing a lot of damage.

However, the problem wouldn't be the damage done to the US from a NK attack, but the scenario it could create. If NK attacks, then the US will counterattack. If there's any collateral damage to say South Korea, then they could end up pissed off at the US and get involved. And if SK gets involved, then so does China and Japan and then it's game over for pretty much everyone.

It's scary to think that a handfull of people could singlehandedly be responsible for wiping out the world, just because they are too stupid/arrogant to try and work things out.

Talk about collateral damage,..... If that nut fires a missile at the U.S. mainland or Alaska,.....WE here in CANADA could become the collateral damage...lol...

Buddy's long range missiles aren't known for being too terribly accurate,....could you imagine if one landed in Vancouver,.....or even WORSE,.....RIGHT on a HUGE Canadian icon,....Molly's Reach...lol...
