Players at the iPoker network will have the option of playing completely anonymously on certain rooms The new Anonymous tables offer you the chance to hide yourself from all other players. This way, your opponents will not be able to see your nickname, avatar, or get any information on your playing style via tracking software. These tables can be found in iPoker client lobbies under "All Tables" by selecting to show "Anonymous" tables on your ring game filters. All Anonymous tables are titled "Anonymous" followed by numerals, and are indicated by a mask icon

Pretty interesting concept but i guess that many regulars won't play these tables too much
Even if a HUD can't bring you any info i think the level of the players that will join the tables will still be a good reason to play them for regulars.

Not good at all for people who are afraid of rigged online poker. Now they can use bots without the option to folow or check certain players. This makes it so much more easy to cheat... BAD DEAL !
They should combine it with Zoom/Rush, because then it would take care of collusion as well.
I don't play Zoom/Rush at the moment, because I suspect that players using a HUD, have a huge advantage over other players, in this particular format (more so than in any other format, because the software has no problem in tracking many users). Anonymity would negate that advantage.
As for regular cash games, anonymity would not prevent collusion, because they can still join the tables where their partners in crime are, could they not?

I agree this is not a good thing. it motives cheating, collusion, bots (so many already on Ipoker, whis is well known!). and indeed it would not attract regulars really.
I really wonder what made them make this decision? what advantages do they see?

Anonymous tables isnt something new. Microgaming has them for quite a long time now. Cant say they were too popular. All the ones woth subscriptions to poker stats stay away from them Maybe its different in iPoker though.
