Hey... I know the risks of going all in... I take the risk knowing that I can lose everything (I play tournaments) and accept the risk having A K I'm prepared to lose also... But losing with an A 3 makes me really frustrated... How to not lose control when I lose? I think that I'm not really prepared to lose when I think I am... Thanks... Just a catharsis time.

Sorry man, but those things happen..... still sux big time..... If I am really p1ssed off by a bad beat I just take a break from poker..... as a bad beat get in ur head , it influences the rest of the game.

do you mean your AK was up against A3 and lost ? if so then that happens all the time,you've just got to get over it and stay calm,go for a drink or something and get right back into it.

I think there's to many players that feel an Ace is good hand with any other card and they over play the ability of the hand. I fold so many hands with A,2 through A,9 and have folded A,10 thorough A,K preflop at times. I'm not willing to gamble my stack when someone goes allin when I have an A,J or Q or K.
As for A, 3! I probably fold this hand way more then I play it. This is just my opinion! I just folded my A,4 because of the circumstance of the hand I'm SB with 300 and someone raises to 900. I'm just not willing to lose a lot of chips on an ace rag hand.

I knew he was bluffing, if I won I was going to be in the 1st possition in tourny with almost the double chips than the second... But he won...

I don't get why you're upset about losing. He had a pair, you had nothing but 2 overs. It's basic hand ranking, and if you're unsure why a pair beats a high card, then I suggest you re-study the basics of poker before playing any more

Having to calm down in the manner poker inflicts upon a person,...I'm POSITIVE is NOT good for a person's mental health!
I'd be curious in knowing what the psychiatric community has to say about the effects of poker on the human psyche... It's certainly led to many many suicides...
I don't think playing Monopoly would lead to too many suicides....lol....

if you wanna win with A3 is hard... you should play all in pre-flop any A8s+ and any pair 66+ if you like the gamble but when you expect to win with A3o i don't know what to say... a3 can easy lose against a5 .. you can lose with AQ with flop AAx turn x and river x ... vs AK ... the kicker is very important.

Sry I cannot edit the first post... but the thing is like this I had A K The other guy has 7 3 He went all-in before the flop, I knwe he was bluffing.. Then... Flop: 3 2 9 Turn: 6 River: 2
Pd: When I said "I lost with A 3 " I should said "I lost AGAINST 7 3 " Bye and thanks for all your answers
