Home game season idea/the rigged place  +2
Hi guy's, so I got to thinking about setting up some kind of leader boards for the Rigged place home games club, I understand that in the early stages the rigged place club was a success but slowly seen the volume of players every week drop, probably due to non interest, witch lead to the clubs number of games of 1 or 2 a week to 0 witch is really sad in my opinion, I enjoy playing against other members here.

so I have an idea, instead of asking BRM to donate to the easter and x-mas game, maybe we can instead get them to donate to some kind of rigged place Leader board, where every 3 months or so the top eligible players would divide the leader board money,
just an idea but I think it would attract more players and keep them coming back to play in the club every week to try and claim the leader board money, I think it will bring more competition to the club, skilled players and most of all more excitement Cool

This can work guys, and I really think there is hope for the rigged place home games club, IMO

Good idea , I would like to play on regualary basis. Think that playing and getting feedback is the best thing to improve ur game. Besides that I think its just a lot of fun playing with like minded people.
This is not bout the money for me, if its bout the money , I can play sngs and tournaments on the pokersites. So I hope this all pulls of one way or the other..... I will be there . Good luck on the tables and have a nice day... Smile

how about:

* one game a fortnight for 8 games

*$1 buyin per game

*leaderboard which costs $5 to join, with prizes going 50%, 30% 20% after 8 games

*top 6 places count towards leaderboard only

*no-one forced to join leaderboard prizes, if they don't pay $5 then they go on leaderboard for kudos but are not eligible for prizes

------------
I am totally against player donations for non-easter/xmas games, if it cant fund itself, it shouldn't run

Hi icequeenace, I appreciate your interest with the club, and I have already forgave you for calling me a nasty little person, no hard feelings, besides life is way too short to be angry or hold grudges against people, so lets just forgive and forget ok Thumbs Up

we used to play every weekend for $1 and had a monthly $5 game but that was always just heads up.
dont mind playing but the annoying thing was that i had to deposit to stars every week just to play a $1 game (or 11c alot of the time), and im not the biggest fan of stars to be honest.

a while back there was a cash game table for mobsters to play at but i dont think it got used much

I might be interested in that depending on the set-up and the prize structure,....but MOST importantly,...the dates and times of the tournaments...

Sometimes I'm not able to be at my computer,....and other times I have my regular tournaments I play...

So I'd just have to see how things pan out...

Good luck in setting something up... Smile

I don't know what to think about this. Sometimes i have time and go on playing those tourneys, other times i just can't. But that also happens with BRM freerolls, and perhaps that's why i don't give too much importance to the leaderboards. But for regulars, they are another way to win some extra bucks. But all the leaderboards created until now are BRM possession. This would be the first that would be in private hands. So this means it has to be created in a way that doesn't prejudice any mobster in favour to others. So, either the tourneys would have to be bookmarked by BRM, or it would have to be all at the same hour of the day... turning it regular, so no one feels prejudiced.

dunno...idea is good, but to be honest i am a lazy ass & i have a feeling this leaderboard stuff would take a lot of effort to set up and run properly...also have in mind that we are talking about small cash here, so only a few mobsters might show interest...besides i am committed to brm asking financial support only for easter/ christmas games and they supported our easter game recently, so they deserve a break from giving cash left and right...
one more thing- we have a new admin- 3P, maybe he can add his opinion on this, and maybe he would want to put the effort in this leaderboard stuff...

anyways big thanks for the idea- i'm sure you want only the best for community Worship

i fully support this...and believe it will not have a lot of money to make mobsters happy and interested...but i might be wrong.

yeah this is a real issue- dates & times so every mobster gets a fair chance to make it in the leaderboard, which is another obstacle- we don't get a lot of interest in terms of players unless it's a very +EV tourney...and leaderboard tourneys don't look like they will be a financial gold mine...plus add the split player pool due to everyone having their own schedule- we might end up with 5-6 player tourneys...and i doubt this is very attractive

yeah and even weekly $0.11 tourneys...but after a while action naturally dried up & i don't think there is a demand for those...that's why i believe leaderboard will not be any different...twice a year is enough for looking at tourneys not just as plain tourneys but more like a meet-up...

its very easy to open a cash table. but there isn't a lot of demand for that too

Hi guys, I understand BRM dose there fair share, and I am great full, and I think we shouldn't bother them until the x-mas game Big Smile , the Leader board would have to be privately funded to draw more players to the club, I don't think the leader board would work if players had to donate there own money to the leader board, lol I mean who wants to compete for there own money
Big Smile

this is why we as a club would have to team up and somehow someway find private sponsors for the leader board/ prize pools to sponsor every season, if we can find a private sponsor with enuff interest in the club this could work, I personally don't know where to start in regards to finding sponsorship, but I think if all us rigged place members team up we will find our sponsor!
